Ok 1st time since the show started i felt that impact and intrigue based on what the concept exactly promised to deliver!!
1st was when Puchpuch ran off and CC unconsciously stepped in to the house before time...and then she apologized and said that she will send Puchpuch back. And NO ONE said 'no beta u can keep him!'
i was waiting for that line!! and when it didn't come n her eyes filled with tears mine did too..
the first shock.. the first impact of this marriage came to me...
then the games n the cute play b/w the couple actually managed to get me out of depression for a bit..cz they were so cute and successfully managed to drag me out of the glum mood i was in..cz of Puchpuch having to go..
then the next such turning point was when she was taken to the room. And UB came in! Everyone scrambled to their feet and then UB glared at something, and Kaumadi realized it and quickly covered Chhanchhan's head!
that was the next shock.. CC looked baffled. And kind of nonplussed and who can blame her.. yet she took it in her stride cz it was 1st day n most likely she thought it was first day something..
and that was when it hit me..
CC might be modern, she might be strong, but there is a bigger issue here.
first we thought it was UB's rules n regulations that would hinder her..
but no..it won't..it is much bigger than that..
how in the world would the girl who didn't know how to wear a sari till 2 weeks back, the girl who wore her jeans and t-shirts n frocks be expected to wear not only a sari but also cover her head every day?
i hope to god she ends up coming down the steps 1st day morning with Manav n she is NOT IN A SARI to begin with an clearly show her puzzled look when they look as if it is expected of her..
but WHAT got to me is doing this..and facing the reaction and NOT GIVING IN is going to be one hell of a task..
i dunno if this cultural shock has been shown in previous saas bahu shows..
but i have only ever seen Saathiya..there the girls didn't have this cultural shock as they were much closer in mindset n traditions..
but here...i cannot imagine...
in my world...the world i grow up the norm is what CC was brought up in.. And i know i will never face this cz such in laws do not anymore exist in my world..
BUT still it shocked me out of my wits and made me feel scared..
this battle of two ideologies is NOT going to be b/w CC & UB..
it is going to be b/w CC & Whole Borisagar family...
and tomorrow in their lives when she comes down with Manav i truly hope Manav does NOT stay quiet and instead say 'what is wrong? she is fine wearing whatever she wants'
cz as shown in precap..he was clearly expecting her to be her normal self n be his girlfriend mode now too..
so he clearly never thought far enough of cultural shocks and CC was not aware of this much difference cz her mom covered things up for her..
