Actor Aditya Pancholi's son Suraj Pancholi, arrested in connection with the suicide of actress Jiah Khan, was Tuesday sent to police custody till June 13 by a court here, a lawyer said.

Zameer Khan, Suraj Pancholi's lawyer, told reporters: "We are completely supporting the police for the investigation since day one. We are completely supporting them and we have submitted Suraj's laptop, phone and iPad to police."

"He will be in custody till June 13. So far, chargesheet has not been filed," he said, soon after Suraj was presented before a magistrate.

Police informed the court that they have received five love letters exchanged between Jiah & Suraj, and are verifying the contents. The police have also recovered the CCTV footage of the hotel and the house where Jiah & Suraj went, on that fateful day.

The police are also investigating the abortion that Jiah had mentioned in the letter.

Suraj's lawyer Zameer Khan argued that the note did not name Suraj and was not signed by Jiah. The defence counsel also mentioned that the note was discovered three days after the death and not immediately. Zameer Khan told the court that 21 year old Suraj could not have possibly given an commitment to 25 year old Jiah during a short courtship of 6-8 months. He mentioned that Jiah was "obsessive and possessive...it does not mean Suraj should be pinned".

Suraj's arrest came barely two days after Jiah Khan's family handed over a note penned by her to police. The note was recovered by the actress's kin three days after her suicide June 3.

I Rad this comment somewhere from someone i thought i will share!!!

"Jiah aborted a baby because her boyfriend Suraj promised her after a year he would commit to her, already I want to blame her here, she killed a life on just a promise, it's not as if she was living in a slum struggling to survive with a baby on the way, she was a British citizen she could have returned to the UK and saved her baby if she was unable to look after it in India, her mother said she was doing well she had servants and work coming in (but perhaps after being a mum that work would have dried up), but she was hoping for more from the guy, which him as young as he was just starting out in Bollywood with his career, perhaps his parents were hoping for an influential match for him to further his career there in India, he got involved with Jiah perhaps they shouldn't have been together as she was wrong for his ambitions, that's where he was wrong also if he knew he couldn't commit to a girl like her he shouldn't have been with her, so he was just using her for sex and she also overreached herself perhaps, she got involved with him thinking he would help her there but it looks like her plans didn't work as per her wishes. So now she kills herself, hoping for what to ruin him, most likely with all this happening to him his career will not launch. I'm sure he didn't want her to kill herself, and had no idea she was going to kill herself, as it's harmful to his launch right.

It's not easy to take your own life, so to say she is a coward, that's what people say when a suicide happens, but I think it's difficult to kill yourself, just imagining hanging yourself and the pain of having your neck pulled, struggling to breath and eventually that neck snapping, that is agony, all of that it cannot be said it's an easy way to go out of this life, rather staying with disappointment in love and living a Mediocre life is easier way then hanging yourself.

I think Jiah did this almost to harm Suraj's chances, like if you can't marry me and help me..."
