Bani in red pj's stting on the arm chair reading the book. To her Mr Darcey reminded her alot about Jai...he met 13 years ago........She thought no let's go and see the cricket match.
Bani walked to hall near the study, to her surprise there was no Tv on. She thought.......so the match is finished already. No way .....it will take another hour or so to wrap up. Then she heard giggling coming from down stairs. so she went down satirs. She heard some giggling in the kitchen
She saw both Jai and JK in the kitchen
Jk:papa mommy will yell at us if she know what we are up to
Jai:ssssssssssh, talk softly....she is asleep
Jk: are you sure papa
Jai:yes I am (high pitched voice)
JK: ssssssssssh papa
Jai:sorry betta
Jk: papa last time she found me staling ice cream she gave me 100 math question to do
JAi: really
JK: papa....you don't know she will get very angry
Jai: I know.........probablly she'll give me some home work too.. at night.
Bani stood on the kitchen door. She can't keep her self from blushing.
JK: papa I want Vanilla
Jai:ok
JK: 3 scoop
Jai:no...no only 2 scoop
JK:papa pretty please
Jai looked at those eyes. He has same eyes as his mother. This how she always get what she wants
Jk:papa what are you thinking?
JAi: nothing betta.........so 2 and1/2 scoop
JK:papa pls 3 scoop........pretty pls 3 scoop
Jai:ok
JK:papa you are the best
Jk went and huggged his father. Jai remembered the time when he took Bani to the Kulfi shop. She wants try all the Kulfi before she got out. She didnot come out until she tried all of it. Mother-like-son Jai thought.
Jai thought he is exactly like her.
Bani seeing all this from the door.
JK:papa let's go to the dining table
Jai:no betta, if your mom catch us then that's it. She knows I have high cholestrol
JK:papa then you should not eat....I don't want you to get sick
JK took Jai's dish and put it on the counter.
Jai made a sad face
JK: I'll give you 3 spoon from mine and then you'll tell me a story....ok papa
Jai(looked at his son....He is just caring as Bani): ok if you feed me that is fine
Jai sat on the floor and Jk sat on his father's lap and fed Jai 3 spoon of ice cream.
Jai thought betta I'll never leave you again in my life. I miss you a decade with you but no more.
Bani saw all this and without her realization the tears came rolling down her face. She went upstairs. She took JK's picture out and apologized to him for taking his father away from him.
as Bani thought about this she fell asleep on the arm chair.
Jai came to their room after 30 minutes. Jai looked at Bani sleeping on the chair ..........holding a picture
He went near her. He doesn't want to wake her up. She looked so peaceful in her sleep. He slowly took the picture from her hand............that was the picture of Krishna. He put the picture on the table. He carefully carried BAni to her bed and tucked her in. Jai looked at her again.....she look the same to him....the one that her met 13 years.....Only thing is she is Khadoos just like him. He actually admired that arrogance in her. This what is driving me crazy.
Jai lowered his face toward her face. Jai thought she looks like a sleeping beauty.
Jai: Mrs Walia, you are going to pay for your arrogance dearly from your loving husband.
Bani's lip there was a smile dancing....Jai thought she heard me....no soon he found out that she was dreaming.
As Jai about to lift his face from hers. 2 gentle hands landed on his shoulder.....
Bani(in her sleep): I love you my teddy bear😳
Jai is like what...........she loves her teddy bear...ok I have to ask Rano about this teddy bear that I did not know about.
Jai removed her hand from his shoulder. and kissed her good night
Jai: Good night Mrs Walia.....tomorrow morning we have to go for registar's office so we can be officially married before the law.
