Four films old...

She was plain annoying in JTHJ. Boring roles.

I think it's a bit unfair still to compare Deepika and Anushka because Deepika's had a head start right with OSO while Anushka needed BBB to really start her career.

I do think Anushka needs to stop working with YRF. I think they are the biggest reason as to why she seems to play the same type of roles again and again.

I never saw MKBKM, so to those who have seen it, does she play the same bubbly character in that as well?

I think Anushka had a better role as a debutant compared to Deepika..deepika's role was very limited in OSO..whereas Anushka had a more prominent role in RNBJ..So I feel Anushka had a better start compared to Deepika ...both the films did well at the BO...But since then anushka has just been playing loud kind of roles..I liked Ranveer better than anushka in BBB...the way Anushka acted in BBB..I kept feeling she would bite anyone who came her way in the movie :) even poor Ranveer 😆 She looked so frikkin angry!!

anyway jokes apart. I really liked Aunshka in BBB and for that entire year. She looked great at different events and she acted great. But it got to her head coz she won the best actress award at some award show. I dont think it is wrong to do movies in the genre you are good at. Like look at srk his genre has been romance for the longest time and I love him to pieces. (I am not comparing them...its just an example). I just mean you can do something repetitive and do it really well but act differently. But in JTHJ she just came off as annoying. even if all she wanted to play were bubbly roles she should atleast not try to play it the same way.

I don't know if Bollywood is all about being versatile, but being an actor is 😊 Even if you are good at doing something and that is what works for as an actor then great ! But part of being an actor, shouldn't you be able to convince the audience that one character you play is COMPLETELY different from the others you've portrayed?

Since you mentioned SRK .. Yes he is undoubtedly the king of romance, but the audience and all the directors / producers know he CAN do something else too!. Even in the genre he does best it's not like you feel like SRK plays Raj from DDLJ in every romantic film he does . 😆 SRK has a career that is a decade long, so lets not draw comparisons .. Well there is no comparison at all really!

I think it wouldn't be unfair at all to compare her to deepika at all ... They are practically twins in the industry 😆 Yes Deepika's debut was quite some time before Anushka's, but the thing is after her debut the second film deepika did was a Romantic comedy ( sort of ) her third film was an action film ...

Remember this is strictly about versatility, not about the performance etc.

Even after Anushka's three film deal with YRF I didn't get the impression she wants to do something that's drastically different, and I still don't.
