Khushi asked looking at everyone and suddenly nervous at what will people think about this... after all these people have big mouths and though they say that they are just teasing she knew what kind of hidden meanings it will be having. But this time she found herself amidst all people who were smiling at her including her Arnavji giving her permission to have talk with him. But not before khushi and akash could get up and move aside they heard shyam speaking,

Arre khushiji... I thought you would like to spend some alone time with our arnav... and here you are asking for time with akash?! Wont arnav and payalji feel bad?! He asked with his sickly sweet tone as though he was teasing khushi... but 3 people there knew better than that to fall for his teasing session..! Arnav couldn't tolerate anymore... he wanted to burst out at the very moment for even talking like that...! But this time khushi and arnav heard someone else speaking...

I really won't feel bad shyam jijaji... after all; my husband considers khushi as his sister and you too!! And as far as Arnavji... he would like them to have a nice relationship as pure as a brother and sister as he would have with me... right Arnavji?!

Payal said all these things to rile up shyam and show him that she will always stand for her sister... now she is a Raizada bahu and no matter what she will take care of the dignity of this house in front of the whole world. The moment she heard shyam speaking so ill about her sister and husband she couldn't tolerate anymore... so she said what came to her mind and controlled her tongue as much as she can to show the others she was just playing all this teasing moment.

Here arnav was stunned! He always knew that payal was a strong girl and would always face the world with her head held high... because he had never seen any girl to be so strong willed and started her life afresh after her 1^st marriage was cancelled... even for that matter his di had gone into a shell after her 1^st marriage had been called off and was very depressed for months to come. Today his respect towards payal grew more and all he could do when payal asked what he thinks he could just only nod. After a minute he added..,

I completely agree with payal! How payal is a sister to me just like di now... khushi is Akash's sister now! So you don't need to worry about JIJAJI..! Arnav pressed the last few words and said coldly.

Ok ok now... stop this teasing session now...! Akash take khushiji with you and ask her about the shagun... until then we will be preparing for the bidaai and gruhapravesh of my new bhabhi... Anjali said and winked and let all the members out and started the preparations for the next rasam's...

Akash and khushi walked to the garden of RM and akash was intently looking at his new saaliji... for reasons unknown he could see that she was not the same khushiji who was having fun at the cost of his bhai's just a moment ago but was fully serious about something.

Is there any problem khushiji?!

Oh nothing as such a problem jijaji... khushi said turning towards akash and realized she has taken much time before she could speak and directly came to the point.

For the shagun can you promise me about something?!

Sure khushiji... your words will be my command...! Akash bowed in front of her just to make the situation more pleasant as he could see the seriousness in his saaliji's face. Khushi just let out a low chuckle and said.

Can you promise me that you will always be there for my jiji?! Always trust her and will never leave her no matter what the circumstances are...? Will always believe her words and protect her?! Will always stand for her...? Can you promise me that...?! Khushi asked in a breath and the anxiety all over her face.

Akash stood silent for a minute and said,

Ofcourse khushiji...! I married payal not only because I love her but because I trust her! I can see someone whom I can relate to as my soul mate and share my inner most feelings with... I don't see she is the one for whom I'm living and all... coz that will be a lie! But I can promise that from now on I shall live for her... her happiness! Our happiness together khushiji... I promise I will always trust her no matter what and stand by her...!

Khushi was overwhelmed with happiness after hearing the declaration of promises from akash's mouth. She couldn't help herself from tearing a bit with happiness as she could see what a gem of a person her jiji has married.

Akash who saw his new sister-in-law crying made his brain work hard to get something out of his mouth so that he can see khushi and remarked,

And khushiji if you are worrying about my mother and her taunts...then don't worry! I will try my best to save payal from my hello hi bye bye mother... akash said and winked.

Khushi out and involuntary chuckle and both of them made way towards the rest of the family forgetting that someone else had also over heard their conversation.

Arnav had helped his di for all the rasam's and was waiting for akash and khushi to show up. After a few minutes when they didn't come he grew inpatient as it was long he hadn't seen khushi and on top of that all the gupta's and the major one among them to be buaji was crying too loud to send her payaliyaa always... everyone among them were crying thinking about the bidaai that is to take place in a few minutes. He needed some fresh air and thus he moved out towards the garden. When he reached there he could see akash and payal talking and heard akash giving promises to khushi to take care of payal.

After a minute or two he saw them both walked towards him. They both came and stood before him and he heard akash ask,

Bhai you here...?!

Yea akash... you both took so long everyone is waiting for you... I guess you need to be present to escort payal at the time of her bidaai...?

Oh right...! Come khushiji lets go... we are late..! Akash said and moved and turned back when he saw his bhai holding his would-be bhabhi's hand stopping her from going...

Err... bhai won't you and khushiji come...?

You go akash... we will be there in a minute... he said and turned back his attention to the love of his life-khushi.

Sure bhai...! You guys carry on! I will manage if anyone asks about you both...

Akash said and winked before he left... but arnav didn't pay heed to anything that his little brother said and moved khushi to a secluded corner and pinned her to the wall keeping both his hands on either side of her giving her no chance to escape...

What are you doing Arnavji...? What will jijaji think now...? Khushi said while struggling to get out of his grip and run away as she couldn't hide her face anymore which was total red after she could notice how close she and Arnavji were... she couldn't comprehend to think anything straight as his proximity was playing havoc in her mind.

What khushi? I'm just spending some time with my fiance... Arnav said with his husky voice sending shivers down her spine.

And what were you doing there? Teasing your would-be-husband in front of everyone ah?

Wh..what did I..I d..do...ar..arna..arnavji? khushi said stammering as she could see her Arnavji coming dangerously close and was making her lose her sense... she just hoped she won't act insane after this encounter as she was totally flushed seeing her Arnavji become all so romantic and teasing now...!

Arnavji...? Who is that khushi...?

y..you...! ar...arna...Arnavji...!

I'm not Arnavji khushi! He said with mock anger in his voice.

We are getting married right?! Arnav said coming close to her ear and blowing some air across making her shiver under his mere touch. She closed her eyes hyperventilating.

Am I old? Above 50...? Arnav asked still touching his lips to her ear when talking.

Khushi went all red hearing that... he is old? Really? She can never doubt on that! he was making her lose all her senses by coming so close to her and awaking her inner most desires and asks if he is old? I guess Arnavji has really lost it she thought.

Nn..no! she stammered trying to keep her breath and stop hyper ventilating soo much...

Then call me Arnav!

Arrr...arnavvv...? She stammered lost in his touch and repeating everything as he said.

Right...! Arnav..! You will call me that from today and not Arnavji... he said and moved away from khushi leaving her free and smirked at her as what he had planned to do has been successfully accomplished.

Khushi's eyes snapped open when she heard what her Arnavji said and felt him move away from her. He tricked her...! He tricked her was all she could think about...! How can she fall for his trick so easily...! But well he just wanted her to call him arnav right...? So what's the big deal... she can surely call that! she is not in some 18^th century to not to call their husbands with their names... she is gal who believed in morals and traditions and it just states that not to disrespect their husband right? So what's wrong in calling her Arnavji by his name without the ji...? She had decided what she has to do... but seeing the knowing smirk on his face that she lost to his touch made angry...

Well she can never be angry on her Arnavji... na arnav! But she can definitely pretend she is right? Let's see how this romantic arnav tries to pacify her... she thought and faked her anger towards him and said,

That was cheating Arnavji...! You can't to that this way...

What cheating khushi? What did I do... and what way?! He smirked making her go all red due to embarrassment as she just realized what she had said and in what way he took it.

Vo..vo... nothing! I won't call you arnav Arnavji... That was cheating! With that khushi ran away hiding her face as much as she can so that arnav couldn't see her face and see her fully flushed and he could give her his once again winning smirk!

But you just did khushi! Arnav called after he saw her running away blushing and made his to the hall where the bidaai rasam was taking place.

Akash comes to know about the truth...
