I don't know about the actual mythology or history. I don't know how accurate DKDM team was. But whatever I saw tonight was the best I've ever seen on Indian television - and any screen in India in the mythology genre! š
The special effects, the acting, the action, the ethos - every single aspect was KICKASS!!! As polished and as thrilling as the promos! šš¼
Action was not overdone like some masala film. I am glad they kept the "class" which a divine battle ought to have.
Today, again, I learnt what The Eternal, The Supreme, The Omnipotent was! What "God" was supposed to be like! š
What separated the Divine from the rest...wah! I felt like bowing down with folded hands when Mahadev spoke for the first time as the show started. š
Jalandhar kept mocking Mahadev for not being there or hiding. We all mock God sometime or the other when we feel cheated or slighted or wronged.
Mahadev's words were so apt and eye-opening! HE was there in every being, every element, every atom! He was there in our joys, our frustrations, our worries...we were all a manifestation of HIM! š
I got emotional as I listened to that dialogue! I felt small, guilty and utterly ignorant as a mere human being!
Mahadev still was calm, composed, peaceful and even at *this* juncture he gave yet another chance to Jalandhar to forget all fights and return to perform his duties as Trilokadipati with justice. Itni daya? Itna bada dil? Keval Bhagwan mein hi aisa hriday ho sakta hai! š
It was beautiful how Mahadev reminded Jalandhar of his wrong-doings, his immoral acts - and how wrong was wrong even if done in retaliation! Eye opening stuff!! š
Imagine if GOD started reacting & retaliating to what we did? We'd be nowhere! But we want to retaliate to every wrong - actual or perceived! š¤¢
Jalandhar was being eaten away by guilt today. Desperately he tried to escape from that guilt by shouting Jai Jai Jalandhar! Then he tried to convince himself his pain and fight for righteous reasons, but today, his Maa did NOT appear for him to console him! His imagination also did not support him. His subconscious realised it had strayed!
Superb acting by Mohit Raina! Superb writing! Marvellous screenplay! š
In the battlefield also it was his ego fighting and insisting to fight. Not him as a whole. His ego invited his death!
By provoking Mata Parvati before going for battle, it seemed he had acclerated his process of death.
Mahadev pointed to him that he was desperate for "shanti". It seems Jalandhar's subconscious invited death for him to kill that ego that denied him shanti even when he had got it all (after winning battle against Indra and marrying Vrinda).
Today, Jalandhar was not killed by Mahadev. The ego that ruins even the spark of good in every being was destroyed by Shiv Shakti.
Hats off to Team DKDM for showing this all - Jalandhar's conversations with himself, and Mahadev's words to him. Superlative and thought-provoking!
I was swayed by Mahadev's attacks on Jalandhar. He showed him that he was the Supreme Source of all Powers while Jalandhar was only a small ansh! No over-excitedness, no threats, no trying to gather all his might - just attack.
Just what a brilliant actor MR has evolved into? What's he doing man? He's making other TV actors look like cheap mannequins at small bazaars! What an amazing contrast brought about by him in Mahadev & Jalandhar!
Mahadev so stable even in a fierce battle. While Jalandhar "chat-pataoing" like a wild animal! For a while I actually felt two different actors were performing! I forgot it was the same guy doing a double role! Not exaggerating in any way! I was blown away by this show of talent! š²
It was touching to Mahadev serenely observing his wounded sons and Nandi before the battle. Emotional when Nandi begged forgiveness from Mahadev for taking all attacks and pains upon himself! š
God doesn't utter a word but silently takes upon all pains of his dear ones on himself! His power is not just to rule over others but also to bear any extremity with calmness!
Like I repeatedly said, this track reminded me of what GOD truly was! š
Jalandhar was only talking to himself and concerned about his past, present and future the night before the battle so UNLIKE Mahadev!! There lies the difference!
I have to commend Sonarika for her acting too. There was chance of acting being OTT or melodramatic. But she gave a very controlled performance as Aadi Shakti came into her form! Take a bow madam! š
It was divine and humane at the same time. I not only saw a Devi but also a wife and a mother! Even veteran actresses have been OTT playing Shakti. But you didn't cross that limit, congratulations for scaling new heights in acting Sonarika ji!
I wish the scene of Aadi Shakti walking through the battle field had been shown tonight! And Mahadev's Panchanan avatar had been shown longer!
I was happy to see no distraction in form of other observers or devtas or gurus tonight.
Only Mahadev, Jalandhar and Parvati with few scenes of Brahma and Vishnu.
Thrilling action sequence! As well packaged and well presented as the promo! Perfect pace. No dheelapan. Exceptional special effects for Indian TV! š
Sometime back, someone had once told me - "Hum jis se nafrat karte hain, ek din hum wohi ban jaate hain".
Tonight's episode made me realise how true it was.
Jalandhar hated Indra's ego, his ruthlessness, misuse of powers to kill/hurt innocents, injustice and resorting to unfair tricks in a battle. He didn't realise how he had also ended up becoming what he hated and detested! He was doing his own Jai jaikar, inciting to battle with innocent parties because of his insecurity and resorting to unfair tricks to win difficult battles! š²
He became what he hated. No wonder he got punished.
Indra at least always asks for forgiveness whenever he does wrong. Here Jalandhar was getting multiple warnings and chances to reform and be forgiven yet he frittered away those chances!
I no longer feel that sorry for him. I am only sorry for the crazy ego that got the better of him. Now I realise why all religions and philosophies of the world agree on one thing as the main enemy of mankind - "Ego"!
Jo jhukte nahi woh kat jaate hain. Ek baar Mahadev ke aage jhuk ke toh dekhta...toh kabhi nahi kat ta!
Grand, balanced, powerful, poignant, thought provoking end to a very interesting track!
š
Keep up the standards in future please! No looking back for Team DKDM!
The thunder you guys hear tonight is the sound of collective applause for your brilliant work! Take a bow Team DKDM!
