Whenever Kaira hears Nani's name she will be upset, whenever Nanu talks lovingly about his wife she is filled with rage.. And the flashback scene shows that Nanu calls Shanky for injection... May be thats for Nani... May be she is paralyzed or she had some mental problem...

Any way, I think Nanu is a good person..
