I know this is a fictional love story and we all love a happy ending and really want Asad and Zoya to get married. That includes me too. But, I have been thinking if there was such a match in real life, whether I would like it r not! Imagine really being married to a man like Asad who is frankly ultra conservative. It would have worked out if Zoya was more traditional. But she is not. She is a modern woman like any of us. Married life with Asad would soon become really bad and that is a sure shot way for love to end. Anyway, just my viewpoint. I don't mean to offend anyone.

No, they should not get married. First, Asad needs to learn to respect and trust Zoya... 🥱

I think Asad being conservative is ok and I think Zoya is also ok with it. But I think the main problem is that he is very judgemental. At the moment he does not have faith in Zoya...He's formed an opinion and it is as Zoya has mentioned. He is a male chauvinist to the highest degree...I don't blame him, his past made him so. He is walking around with an ego which even he cannot carry. Unless he lets go of that, he won't accept Zoya for the way she is.
Zoya on the other hand does not really care what she wears. All she cares for is acceptance. The moment Asad accepts her the way she is, understands her, at least try to speak with her before jumping to conclusions, she will wear what Asad wants.
So, Asad and Zoya are not ready to get married, now not because he is conservative but because Zoya and Asad have not surrended themselves to each other.

Opposites attract - the point is to accept it- then the compromises happen, the give and take which is what makes a relationship matter. Both Asad and Zoya have had a tough childhood and are obdurate to the point of no return but unwillingly do give into each others idiosyncrasies when they see the other one down. This will be the basis of their relationship!

I don't think they should because they are very different in their thought process. Opposites do attract but that doesn't mean they make good life partners. Asad and Zoya are both stubborn about their views and believe that they are right. I wont just say that Asad is stubborn because Zoya makes a lot of bad decisions based on her personal views of right and wrong that get her into trouble too. Just as Asad seems to still not respect Zoya enough in terms of his favorite word "tehzeeb"

Until they start to make real compromises and start to embrace change in their lives I don't think they will make a good married couple. They should really date and see if they can get along. Life can't be one long stare session with Mitwa playing in the back

For a marriage to sustain, only love is just not enough. It needs a lot more.

These two can't talk to each other. The stage they are in right now, they can't share their fear or insecurities with each other at all. Asad with his ego, heavier than his head doesn't even give a slightest of consideration to her thoughts.

I personally feel that even if Zoya changes herself to how Asad likes in terms of her clothing and all... he'll still find flaws with her coz simply he's so used to the idea of disregarding Zoya and her ideas. He doesn't think of her as an equal, how will the marriage sustain?

When such people are bound together in matrimony its only a matter of days before the marriage becomes a burden for both and the presence of the other a torture. The same love comes to bite back because understanding was never in its archetype. Initial love can bring people together however it takes trust, compassion, understanding and respect to make the solid foundations of that relationship for that relationship to sustain.

So... the answer is no.

I agree he is judgemental and I will also agree that when he sees Tanveer for who she is, he will regret and frankly trust and respect Zoya. But, we cannot really change our personality and beliefs so drastically even for a person we love. Anyway, I don't think so. Maybe for a while things will be great..but when things settle down, I think he will go back to being his judgemental self.

I think Asad has a huge ego. But, I don't think that is frankly that big a deal..as it is easier to deal with such a person..and frankly Asad overall is a nice guy and realizes when he is wrong. My main issue is with beliefs and ideology. Those are very difficult things to change.
I was just thinking of another 4 Lions character, that I loved : Arnav. I think Arnav overall was a bigger ass and frankly way more egoistic than Asad. But, I think he still was a modern thinker and would never have issues that Asad has. For example, Arnav was ok with Khushi working. I don't think Asad would be so open-minded.
