Piya Milenge really grew on me...Sukhwinder's voice...I love the Sukhwinder-ARR combo...they always churn out amazing stuff and I think that the way the song is composed is a bit unusual too...not a typical love realization song...contemplative but with this sort of rock beat to it in the beginning and more folksy/classical later on...
The MUSIC honestly ...like always a Rahman album takes a few listens to grow on you but slowly, INEVITABLY you grow to love pretty much every song😆

I knoww Anu, how can I not like Sukhi-ARR? I was bound to grow into it soon enough. Thank god the saavn player got hung so I got to listen to it twice 😆 I think Piya Milenge then will be about all 3...Abhay and Dhanush, because I read Rahman talk about how he used contemporary beats for Delhi portion which is Abhay and folky for Benaras aka Dhanush.
Haha, yess that's typical Rahman. If not now, at some point you will grow into it. I heard a theory somewhere that if Rahman sings a song in the album then it's usually a good album. 😆
I'm loving this and Lootera soundtrack. even SEL seem to be back in form with BMB. Tis a good year for music. 😃
LOLL dittooo on EVERYTHING you said here, Himani...especially the last line...these are the soundtracks on repeat for me right now...Lootera, Raanjhanaa and BMB...I love that "mera yaar" song from BMB...and I was thinking three such different music directors but quality stuff from all of them👏...
LOL Rahman invariably ends up singing one song in EVERY album of his yaar...can't remember when he last DIDN'T sing in an album of his...but yeah "Aisa na dekho" is amaaazing especially when you listen to it itminaan se...amazing melody, instrumental pieces...and the lyrics are fab too...a couple of lines I really loved.
The Raanjhanaa album is my staple these days( with a bit of Lootera thrown in between). My favorites would be, Tum Tak, Banarasiya, and Aise Na Dekho. I am yet to warm up to Piya Milenge, though its sounding better and better with me re-listening everyday. Tu Mun Shudi starts off really well, but it doesn't sound so smooth as it progresses. The title track makes me really happy every time I listen to it, it has such a cheerful feel to it. It probably is the one song in this album that can really reach down and across to all sections of the audience. Otherwise, I feel, this album appeals more to a niche.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag3ENMEV89o This song is a masterpiece, it's immaculate. But the alum itself has all kinds of songs. To me, Mann...
Out of these 2 songs, which version you liked the most? Border 1. Sandeshe Aat hai https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-4syDDaV4k or Border 2 1....
For me, it's the album of the year, every single song is so good! Hats off to sashwat for such a fantastic album! Songs have been on loop....
