Chapter 2
As Jeevika walked in'She encountered yet another surprise.
"SURPRIIISEEE" yelled out some of the closest people to Jeevika.
The surprises were getting intense each time. And this time it surely ought to get her to cry. In front of her eyes were her brothers and sisters. Even though she had only one elder brother Jay' she had lots of wacky cousins who she hadn't met in so long. Being with her cousins all together was always a blessed moment for her. Though they would only meet once a year during Thanksgiving all her dear ones were here. Without further delay they all ran up to Jeevika hugging her one by one as she wept on each one of them. Though everything was magical, there was one piece missing, Viren. At this point of time she was satisfied enough. All she wanted was him by her side now. Yet again her phone vibrated.
"That smile on your face is the most valuable possession I have...
So now time to wipe away your tears and enjoy your time
because there are more surprises to come. Love You"
Jay - "So now listen to him and stop crying. Smile up and have some fun"
Listening and feeling everyone made Jeevika realize how much work everyone had done to make this special. Her suspicion and her doubts were slowly being confirmed. Why else would Viren do this. He wanted to make this anniversary special. He wanted to mark this anniversary to be an official day. Before Jeevika could think more, her sisters dragged her to the table and got her settled down. They spent the next one hour catching up and telling each other how much they missed each other. By the time they were done a server came placing a creme brle in front of Jeevika on a huge plate. On the plate there was the bowl of dessert and below written "I Love You" in chocolate. On the side was the next envelope which Jeevika excitingly opened.
"Friends' Check
Family' Check
Fiance???? 😛"
Out of all the letters she had received this one was the most special. SHE WAS RIGHT. HE WAS GOING TO PROPOSE TODAY!
The thought of calling him her fianc, and then eventually her husband just blew her mind away. Blew her mind and most definitely started the water tank inside her also. Who knew what else was in store for her now.
The moment was here and Jeevika was ready for it. Even though her tears didn't prove her to be ready, she was READY to become Mrs. Jeevika Viren Vadhera. Gosh those words were like music to her ears.
jeevika - "Anyone want to enlighten me on where we're off to next?"
gia - "Even we don't know" she said trying to white lie to her best friend
jeevika - "Ohh yeah, I'm sure none of you innocent fools know" she said wiping away the few tears left.
The huge gang now left the restaurant excited to go with Jeevika to their next stop. They all excitingly entered the white limo which was huge enough to fit everyone. What perfect planning' was what Jeevika was thinking. The smiles, the laughters, the warmth was being felt by everyone but mostly Jeevika. Only Viren probably knew how much her family and friends meant to her. She just wished now that she could express how much more HE meant to her. His love and his presence.
As the limo drove away everyone started singing songs. Not just any songs, but it was a certain mix of songs that was familiar to Jeevika. It was all the songs on that special playlist Viren had made for Jeevika on their fifth date. It made sense to Jeevika now. Four surprises done' and onto the fifth one. Jeevika's smile and her blush was just out of this world. No one there had seen Jeevika this happy in her life before, now they could only imagine what Viren truly meant to her. He brought out the best in her. And that time finally came when the limo decided to stop at its next stop. Unaware of what was coming next, Jeevika just took it in as it came getting out with the help of her cousins and friends. Ohhh. It was the shopping center in Napa. Jeevika smiled looking at the small boutiques. She kind of already figured out what was next'. SHOPPING! Their large gang made Jeevika enter this beautiful boutique which seemed to be waiting for the arrival of Mrs. to be Viren Vadhera. A friendly lady walked up to Jeevika handing her the next white and gold envelope'
"So you've probably figured out today is the big day'
But trust me it gets bigger.. much bigger I would say 😛
Time to buy a nice dress and shoes of your liking'
Something classy and elegant just like you
Next clue will be given when you're done' Happy Shopping"
jeevika - "This is unbelievable. I don't know what to say or do"
jai - "Do as you've been told in the letter, shopping!"
Two friendly ladies rolled over a huge rack of special dresses. At both ends of the racks there was a sign that read' "Reserved for Jeevika V."
That little sign made Jeevika's stomach tickle with butterflies. Jeevika V. Jeevika V. Jeevika V' She was going to be engaged soon! It was starting to hit her more and more. She started looking through the dresses. One by one she paid attention to every detail on each dress finding something Viren would like on her. And there it was. The most beautiful white dress in the world. Everything at this point was beautiful to Jeevika so nothing really mattered. She just wanted to meet and hug Viren now. And the only way to do that was to quickly finish buying the dress and shoes. Everyone was surrounding Jeevika and now pushing her to go try on the dress inside the fitting room. She took the shoes picked by her best friends and the white dress inside only to be shocked yet AGAIN!.
Jeevika dropped her dress and shoes on the ground after seeing two ladies waiting for her, her mom and Viren's mom were both inside the fitting room waiting for her. Jeevika hugged her mom crying on her shoulder, just tears of happiness. All the important people in their life were part of this celebration. Never had she imagined or dreamed of a proposal like this including friends and families after all a proposal was meant for the union of two people. But Viren and Jeevika knew that their marriage also meant a union of two families. Once breaking away from her mother Jeevika hugged Viren's mother thanking her for being a part of this as well. Little did Jeevika notice till now that everyone had captured the moment on their iPhones, video cameras, etc.
Maya - "Okay come on try the dress. We want to see how beautiful you look"
The mother's left the dressing room while Maya and Gia entered to help Jeevika try on the dress. A group of almost 15 people now were excitingly waiting outside the dressing room to see Jeevika. After five minutes she stepped outside mesmerizing everyone out there. All of a sudden Jeevika started feeling like a celebrity with the amount of flash and photos being taken of her. Everyone couldn't stop complimenting how beautiful she looked. She blushed unable to say anything and went back to change inside the dressing room. She came out and handed over her belongings to the lady who carefully packed everything and handed it over to Jeevika and wished her good luck. She also handed her another envelope. ANOTHER white and gold envelope. Jeevika quickly got back into the limo followed by the others. While everyone was talking she opened the letter.
"I know I know I'm the best,
but its only because you make me the best
So hows your day going so far?
Good I hope? 😛
It's not too long now before the big moment
And trust me its bigger than big
Its the biggest moment of your life, my life, OUR LIFE
and let me tell you it's a little more than a proposal

How much more was he going to make her cry. She literally had cried enough for the day and on every person surrounding her. Now she just needed him. Even though this was the best proposal ever' it was also the worst. She hadn't cried this much in god knows how long. She just had to make it to one more place before she could cry, laugh, and hug Viren. She just couldn't wait any longer now. Jeevika was trying to pay attention to everyone and their talks and seeing how excited they looked, but she couldn't stop staring at her iPhone. It was a picture of him and she was missing him insanely. Sometimes situations like this bring out the best in people. Well it brought out love they had for each other for sure. The limo stopped and Jeevika's heart starting beeping fast again. Now what surprise was she going to encounter she pondered upon. Getting out of the limo with her peeps by her side she entered a salon is what it seemed to be from the outside. It made sense'. she had to look good for the proposal didn't she? After all there would be pictures involved and memories being made so why not this as well? Jeevika went in to this last place a little drained out, but she knew she had to make everything perfect. She had to look perfect for him even though she could care less now on her appearance. He had done so much to make this more than memorable and special that this was the least she could do. She knew just like every other place there must have been some special arrangements done here as well and of course she was right! All the employees started helping Jeevika out. Its like she was the queen of the day' which she was. Midst getting ready she noticed everyone gone. What was more important than her right now and how could they leave her alone when she was in an emotional mess'
"Gosh now what has Viren done to make everyone vanish?"
