Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has taken a bumper opening across India at multiplexes. The opening at multiplexes can be compared with Ek Tha Tiger which was a holiday release. It is practically opened 90-100% across the board and multiplexes which tend to start slow have also started strongly.

It is not a holiday release so the film will slow in the late afternoon as this sort of pace is normally only kept when it is holiday. The film was always expected to open huge in the metros but the multiplexes in Rajasthan, CP Berar and CI have also opened to excellent collections.

The single screen opening is also likely to be very good though not like the multiplexes. The opening is sure to be the second highest non holiday opening of all time (beating films like Ra.One, Don 2, Rowdy Rathore etc) and the record non holiday 19.50 crore nett figure of Dabangg 2 is also not safe but that will depend on the range of contribution from single screens.

One of the year's much awaited film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has finally hit the theatres today. For the morning shows, the movie had an occupancy of around 60-70% in multiplexes and slight less in the single screens. YJHD has received a bumper opening in metro cities like Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Delhi.

One of the reasons for the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer to open well was that it had an excellent advance booking at multiplexes, which started from Monday itself. Moreover, the makers had organized paid previews as well, where the response was mind blowing what with 70%-80% occupancy.

Looking at the strong response right from the moment it got released, it seems, the movie will surely pick up in the evening and night shows and come out with very good Opening Day Box Office Collections. This Ayan Mukhejee directorial has released in more than 3,000 screens across the country. And yes, the film is seeing a massive release for itself.

RK's BO power is so amazing today, he started with a flop but today his movie is being compared to ETT's first day collection, clearly giving salman competition in BO now, let's see how Besharam does cause that's more masala.
