Chapter 8-

It was the next day evening, and whole RM was busy with preparations and everyone running around the house instructing to correct some or the other things. Payal and khushi were in one of the guests rooms and khushi was helping payal for her last minute touches and was assuring that everything would go fine as payal was being a bundle of nerves...

Khushi...

Yes jiji?

I had promised akash that I will never hide anything from him... Do you think that I'm doing the right thing by not informing about shyam and his deceit?

This was one thing that khushi never thought about...! Ofcourse her jiji loves Akashji and would like to tell him the truth as she has told to Arnavji... but this is not the right time! Today is their wedding, let them enjoy it and then tomorrow they can disclose it to Akashji. It is a very painful truth and hard to believe... what if Akashji doesn't believe her jiji? Her heart will be broken! But of Arnavji tells him the truth then definitely he will accept right...? So that is it!

Jiji you don't worry about that now... it's your wedding in a few hours and why are you spoiling your mood by thinking about that man?

But khushi... what if Akash gets to know about this from someone else and thinks that I hid this important thing from him and cheated him?

I understand jiji... but this is not the right time! Tomorrow the first thing in the morning you talk about this to Akashji... me and Arnavji will also be there with you... ok?!

What?! Arnavji knows about all this? What did he say...? Does he believe us...? Or...

Oh ho jiji... Stop panicking! And yes Arnavji knows everything about that shyam and he believes us... he wants to help us jiji... he wants to save di from that man. You don't worry... everything will be alright ok?! Now please smile! It's your wedding today...

Arre... what are you speaking jiji...? Ofcourse we do love each other! It's just that I'm marrying him will also help him save his di and me from keeping my distance from that scum bug... that's all!

After a minute or two khushi realized of how boldly she had said that she and Arnavji love each other without any hesitance she flushed due to embarrassment with a shy smile... before payal could take advantage of the situation and tease her little sister their amma came into the room saying that it's time for the wedding and they should move down...

Come come... everyone are waiting downstairs... It's time for the wedding...!

Payal with the help of her amma and her little sister went downstairs to the altar and the wedding rituals started. Everyone surely had a good laugh watching akash stare at his bride without blinking his eyes and his mouth hung open a little. Ofcourse it was no surprise during the entire wedding payal had a beautiful shade of red on her cheeks due to blushing at the comments passed in from their family and relatives.

The wedding ended after a few hours and akash tied the mangalsutra around payal's neck and filled her partition with the sindhoor the 7 phere's were also been performed and it was not time to move out. Akash stepped out of the altar to find his footwear missing. He looked here and there and finally up to see his new saali giggling and his di fuming looking at NK. Realization dawned upon his that this was a ritual where in the sister-in-law steals their chappals and asks for ransom for the same and unless and until it's not fulfilled and he doesn't get his footwear back then he won't be able to take his bride home...!

NK bhai I had told you to keep an eye on akash's jooti didn't I?! Then where did it go?

I'm so sorry di...! I was just busy watching the rituals and making sure that akash don't cry after his badaai that I forgot to watch on them...!

What? NK bhai! It's bidaai and not badaai and why would akash cry? It is payal bhabhi's bidaai and now it won't be possible until we get that jooti back!

Oh oh yeah yeah the same thing... but I'm sorry na... and khushiji please give the jooti's back we are ready to pay for that!

If I say I won't... then...?

Then wait wait...! I have an idea...! Today I will show the world that even I know hindi and have knowledge about Indian cinema...!

NK ran back near the stage and gave a set of instructions to the people who were playing melodious songs and arranging lights in the back ground and disappeared near the stairs... After a minute or two the whole room lights dimmed and the music began and showcased NK coming down the stairs clicking his fingers to the music. The whole family except khushi and arnav went back and stood near the poles to witness the upcoming entertainment.

NK said coming towards khushi and circling around her... Arnav was damn sure that khushi won't back off from challenges and that too in dance and he was not amazed that she indicated something through her eyes to her sisters and joined the dance. He was just amazed of how natural and elegant his khushi was in these matters...

Khushi sang along the music walking towards NK and making him move backwards with her boldness of actually surprising him!

Arnav watched from the corner of his eyes khushi's cousins hiding the jooti's... he summoned some of the boys from the groom side and said them to follow the gals and catch hold of the jooti's...

NK was sweating from khushi's tactics... she even amazed him by taking some money from his pockets... but he was fast in snatching it again... their jugal bandhi continued...

Ajee note gino jee... jute lao...

jid chhodho jee... jute lao...

Fraud hain kya hum? But this time they heard someone else saying,

tum hee jano

Khushi turned around and her mouth formed a perfect "O" when she saw her Arnavji singing along with the lyrics and calling her fraud! Well she is not any khushi... she is Khushi Kumari Gupta and she will show what she can do and started to sing...

Akadu ho tum!!!

The nerve of that man! Thought khushi... NK slightly went away in search of the jooti's to help his nannav and give the couple some space...

The family was amazed to see the couple fighting over money and jooti walking front and back and glaring each other naughtily

khushi had enough... now she will show what she actually can do and started on her mission winking at her cousins and all the family members standing at the side.

Arnav answered her... but he was a little late in recognizing khushi's intentions as her cousins had rounded up NK who was very cleverly trying to steal the jooti's from the girls and he saw khushi moving towards NK to take back the jooti's from him...and trying to butter him up...

Kuchh thanda pee lo... mood nahee hai...

Dahee vade lo... mood nahee hai...

Kulfee kha lo... bahut kha chuke...

Pan kha lo... bahut kha chuke... bahut kha chuke... bahut kha chuke...

NK tried to dodge khushi and tried to reach his nannav for safety.. in not time NK and arnav was standing beside each other and were grinning for their victory for having back the jooti... khushi fumes and with an sweet fake smile plastered on her face moved towards the boys along with her cousins...

But this time Arnav had other intentions... before khushi could reach him and butter him up... he and his gang of boys bought all the mouth watering sweets that khushi loved to the care and started teasing her...

Arnav and NK sang together with the bunch of boys from their family teasing the hell out of the girls circling around them and showing them that they have won and got hold of the jooti's...

But Arnav didn't know what had caught him because as soon as the teasing session was over few gals flirted with NK and distracting got hold of the jooti's and called out for khushi...

Jiji!!!!

Khushi was ecstatic and her happiness new no bounds when she won the challenge...! Throwing a winning look towards her Arnavji she marched towards the family where her jijaji was sitting with her jiji taking in all the excitement...

Arnav was giving deathly glares towards NK for losing this challenge and watched on amused how khushi hopped towards Akash and Payal.

Hmm... so jijaji... see I got hold of the jooti's...

I know... I know...! I can see my bhai's failed to win against my saaliji today...

Soon after he uttered those words Arnav and NK gave him a glare for which he could run away and hide somewhere...! Oh he just hoped they won't take any revenge on his wedding for this teasing session and was tried to undo his mistake...

I mean... ofcourse bhai would love to see you win and that's why he lost to see you smile...

Arnav gave an amused look to his brother and gave a lop sided grin towards khushi showing her that whatever it is... her win is also his win!

Arre... there's nothing like that jijaji... I have won on my own merit and I need my shagun for this win!

She said winking at jijaji and her jiji and giving a victory grin towards NK and Arnav...

This was the longest i have ever written... this is the 1st time i tried to add a song in my update and i don't know how it has come out... so please do let me know through your comments!!
