Aarti gets Arpita all ready for her meeting with her future would be ---Yash Scindhia! Arpita had already fallen "in love" with Yash----the latest heart throb of millions of young girls. He was rich, successful, smart, good looking and most importantly a guy with a clean image. What more could a girl want.
A "rishta" that came from his side for her?!
"Oh, I must be so lucky and deserving that the Scindhias have chosen me, Aarti, for their son." exclaimed Arpita.
Aarti: "Yes, and you are no less my friend ---beautiful, intelligent, homely and the typical "bahu" that such families would want!"
Arpita: Have you seen his picture? He looks so good ---- so dashing ---just that he doesn't smile too much, I think. At least the picture shows a stern look.
Aarti: Looks are deceptive --- take yours for instance, poor Scindhias are thinking that you are the conforming, quiet types and you and I know what you are ----right?
Arpita gets annoyed.
Arpita: Aarti, are you siding me or them? Here I want you to help me out and encourage me this evening so that I can win them and most importantly "him" over and''"
Aarti gives her a gentle hug to reassure her that she was just joking and that indeed she would be the perfect girl for him.
Gayatri, Suraj and Yash had come over to Arpita's residence. Her parents were thrilled to have such a well known family home and that too for such a wonderful reason. They hoped that a relationship would emerge between the two families and Arpita's dreams of marrying Yash would come true.

Two months ago
Arpita was shopping in a mall and she accidentally takes the wrong package which belonged to Gayatri who was also shopping in the same place. On coming down the escalator she glanced into her bag and realized it was NOT the one she had bought. She lands on one floor and hops on to the other escalator going up in a rush to go back to outlet to get her correct bag. She bangs on to a handsome man, Yash ---whom she did not know then. He gives her a straight look, moves back and requests her to go first and then follows her a few steps behind. As the escalator moved up Arpita kept looking at him while he was in his own world. He was going to meet his Mom, Gayatri and take her home as she had finished with her shopping.
Both land up at the same outlet and Arpita goes apologetically to the salesman and narrates her tale of the exchanged bags. She is directed to Gayatri who very lovingly talks to her and thanks her for coming back with the right one.
Gayatri: This is my son, Yash.
Arpita: Hello.
Yash just nods for a Hello and does not say anything.
They then leave for their respective homes.
Arpita wasn't able to forget this man. Her mother asked her the reason for her being so lost these days but she wouldn't voice her feelings. One day, she spots him in a newspaper article and gets to know that he was from a very rich business family. Her hopes start to crumble as she knew there was no reason for her to even dream that she could ever have him as a life partner.
Arpita: Aarti, he is from such a rich and famous family. I think I should forget about him though it is very difficult for me to. After all, when I bumped into him I wasn't aware of the fortune he inherited. So isn't my love the true one?
Aarti: Arpita, you think too much. Just let things be. If you have to meet him, you will ---- just as you did earlier. So don't be impatient or disheartened.
As it happened, through a common friend this alliance came up and Gayatri was keen on a simple girl for her house. She knew about modern girls and their wishes to be a part of a family like theirs. More so, she also knew about Yash and his disinterest in marriage and family life. So the girl had to be one who could win his heart more than anything else. When she saw Arpita's picture, she was really happy as she could remember this sweet girl at the mall. And talks began which reached to the final stage of the boy ' girl meeting.
