Amit to enter Karam Apnaa Apnaa!

Amit Khanna who was last seen as Veer in Yeh Dil Chahe More has been on a look out for quality work so after a two month sabbatical the actor has signed up Karam Apnaa Apnaa

The actor has taken up the show at a time when there are rumors doing the rounds that Karam… might go off air in January.
Recently, Hiten Tejwani entered the show and now Amit enters the track tonight as a chawl guy.
"I can't reveal much about my character but yes it's a very different and refreshing character. I play Ram who is a lower middle class guy living in the chawls. He's a sincere and jolly man besides he has the charm of the hero's from the 1980's era. He isn't as aggressive and intense like the actors today," points out the down to earth actor who has shot for three days so far with Balaji.
So, how did the actor land up getting this role after Yeh Dil Chahe More?
"I'd gone for an audition for Balaji's new show Kayamat but the production house liked me for a character in Karam Apnaa Apnaa. And who doesn't want to work with the production house and I am lucky to get such a nice role. Also, I am amazed at their efficiency and the quality work they churn out in a short span of time," smiles Amit who was was offered a Bengali film after Yeh Dil Chahe More and was initially in the limelight for being actor Govinda's nephew.
For last two months Amit was on a sabbatical and was busy preparing for his MBA exams, spending time with family and searching for good work.
On being questioned about Karam… turning into a sinking show Amit adds "I've heard that Karam… is doing tremendously well. The TRP's have risen to new levels and a shows popularity is not due to one actor but an entire gamut of actors working in it."
So watch out for Amit making an entry in Karam Apnaa Apnaa on 21 December.
