Did you change her surname?

She had an English surname, which was not easy to pronounce. She is not Katrina Kaif originally. She is Katrina Turquotte. We wanted to give her a surname which would be accepted by the Indian audience. First we thought of naming her Katrina Kazi, but then we thought Kazi would have a religious overtone. So we thought of Kaif.

But it is said that she has a Kashmiri father.

If that's what she says, you have to believe her. Her name on her passport that time was Katrina Turquotte.

👎🏼 So Isabel's name isn't KAIF and neither did the makers of BOOM give her that name. But kya kare...she has to use her big fat sister's surname to get some recognition. 🤢

no they have the same father. But anyway there is no KAIF in there family. Surname Kaif was invented by the makers of BOOM.

Shame on Izzy for using the invented name. If she is such a good hard working actress that doesn't needs her sis to rise WHY USE THE INVENTED NAME? Why not use her own surname Turcotte? 👎🏼

Last name changes and name changes are no BIG DEAL in the world of BW...really no one cares...

DILIP KUMAR...the most respected veteran actor of BW...is originally Yusuf Khan...When he entered BW...people said that a muslim actor would not be accepted by the BW audience...so he changed his name to a Hindu name Dilip Kumar...

There have been umpteen instances of name changes and last name changes...Imraan Khan...last name is not Khan...his father was a Hindu..last name PAL...but since his mother was separated from his Dad...she decided to give him her last name Khan...since in BW now KHAN is a big name...BW industry is full of such examples where name changes have been done because of astrology or just because they will be more appealing to the public...

I don't know why u guys make it such a big deal about Katrina...if she had a name change...
