Jeevika woke up after another hour feeling very light-headed. As she opened her eyes there were tears coming out. Slow, but big tears. Tears of pain or tears of a broken heart, Viren didn't know but for him seeing her like this was like the end of the world.
v - "Jeevika are you okay? Is something hurting" he said caressing her face looking right into her eyes.
Jeevika took his hand and kept it right next to her heart trying to get close to him.
v - "I'm right here don't worry. I'm not going anywhere" he said sitting on the bed as Jeevika moved wanting to be next to him. They both hugged each other like never before. Tightly and feeling each other fully.
The nurse walked in to see Jeevika awake. She started checking all her vitals again as Viren got up from the bed, but his hand still close to Jeevika.
nurse - "Your blood pressure is better now. You're going to feel nauseous though for sometime and may even throw up due to all the drugs that were inside you. I have paged your doctor, she should be here shortly" she said smiling at Jeevika. Jeevika closed her eyes as the nurse left and Viren sat on the stool next to her bed again. He made her sleep by strolling his hand through her hair. She was asleep again by the time everyone else came inside the room to see Jeevika. Virat came next to Viren's side while Vanshika and Manvi stood on the left side looking at Jeevika asleep.
viren - "How's Veera?" he whispered to Virat.
virat - "Fine. Her fever is under control and her doctor just came in. She said to start the last part of her treatment now. So she's going to be admitted"
viren - "Is Armaan inside with her?"
virat - "Yeah"
viren - "Does Veera know about Jeevika?"
virat - "No. She's been asleep ever since. Is there any word from bhabhi's doctor?"
viren - "She'll be coming soon. I don't know if they will discharge her tonight though"
virat - "I don't understand whats going on all of a sudden"
viren - "Mein either"
The doctor walked in seeing everyone all surrounding Jeevika as she slept.
Dr. - "Her vitals are better. If she doesn't feel light-headed or nauseous we can discharge her tonight. Her medicine will be available in the pharmacy and its a new one. She's going to be quite drowsy so its better she gets all the rest she can and she should be good soon"
viren - "Thank You"
The doctor left leaving the family alone as Jeevika slept on.
manvi - "I'll go check on Veera"
Manvi and Vanshika left leaving Virat and Viren alone.
virat - "I really think you need to get away for sometime"
viren - "I do too. I wanted to take Jeevika to India and I was planning it this morning, but now Veera"
virat - "Veera is fine. The doctor said so herself. She is going to be fine in a few months. But right now you need to get away"
viren - "I will talk to Jeevika tonight once she's a little better"
virat - "Yes please do. Its better to get away. I mean its barely been a few months since you two got married, and so much you guys have gone through. I don't know how you both manage"
viren - "As of now I don't either"
virat - "I'll go grab some lunch for you"
viren - "I'm okay"
virat - "Please bhai you can't be stubborn like this now. I'll be right back" he said leaving.
Jeevika woke up suddenly before Virat could leave. She looked over to find the pink bucket provided by the hospitals. She needed to puke and get all that was left in her stomach which she eventually did. Viren rubbed her back while Virat called her nurse inside who ran to the side of Jeevika.
nurse - "Its okay. All the bad stuff is coming out your system. I'm going to start you on some more liquids to energize you"
jeevika - "My head"
nurse - "Your body is flushing out right now. Give it a few hours"
viren - "Can we get her some juice or soup"
nurse - "Sure. I'll go get some"
Jeevika got up to go to the restroom with Virens help. He stood by her side as she rinsed out her mouth and then took her back to the bed.
jeevika - "Viren.. Veera?"
viren - "She's fine. She's asleep right now"
jeevika - "What did the doctor say?"
viren - "They are going to start her chemo again so she's being admitted again"
jeevika - "Have you seen her?"
viren - "Nope"
jeevika - "Go check on her"
viren - "She has the whole family. Right now I'm staying here and only here"
jeevika - "Viren I'm sorry"
viren - "Jeevika don't you dare apologize to me. This is all my fault. I should have seen the medicine before giving it. I panicked seeing you in such a bad state this morning and I can't be this careless. I don't even understand why you are apologizing"
jeevika - "I really miss you. I don't know why I feel we're not the same"
viren - "Because of the people surrounded by us we aren't able to give each other time. I promise this won't happen now. We are both going out and don't ask where now. It's just going to be you and me. I promise now all my time is yours. No matter what"
jeevika - "Thank You Viren" she said breaking down.
This was all she needed' the love and attention from her man ❤️
