Bang on, though Gul is great with Love stories.. we cannot take away the credit from her and her team.

At the same time, she lacked to keep the focus thus making the actors greater than the characters which resulted in the early demise of the show as soon as the lead actor pulled the plug...

After an year IPKKND survived only on SARUN chemistry as the CVs did not come up with a story line and did nothing to move the characters forward thus making the actors larger than the characters they played...

So full credit to GUL and team for introducing IPKKND the way they did and took it off, but full cedit to SARUN too to carry an almost dead story later on with no logical plot just based on their acting and chemistry..

Had she concentrated more on building characters things may have been different , the living example if BV, they have survived a change so many times... I hope she has lessons learnt implemented in the current show, I see QH is laready No 1 on IF.

couldn't have said it better. the storyline really deteriorated. only sarun's chem kept the ship from sinking.

The Success of IPK definitly goes to the whole team..Right from the way Gul and Co sketched the characters, the actors giving life to them and the sound,light or the direction team giving us awesome scenes through their execution...

I can say that IPK had one of the best Background scores and Music for the show...It was truley unique in all ways...

The viewers were able to connect to the characters and created a strong Bond with them that the reel seemed real...

The bugdet spent by 4lions on ipk was meagre compared to her new show..
No newspaper or hoarding promotions, no ads , no costumes for lead...
Nd morever tthey recycled nd used the same set again nd again...
The story went down the drain past hate marriage..the story track was nt eexecuted properly..
Thus..one thing for sure ipkknd lasted on sarun nd their brilliant bonding..as well as supporting cast..
Though 4lions new show has potential..i some how didnt connect wid cast..especially lead...
Just watchd it once..nd understood dat its a typical 4lions strategic show..good in initial mnths nly..
Ipknnd was the nly show wich relied on sarun nd had decent trps even during crappiest track..
All thnks to sarun nd supporting cast like nani paayash nk di etc

Yes it is a team effort! Many talented creative ppl came together to create this masterpiece nd there is no way denying that. The characterization, script, screenplay, direction, music, photography, acting n many other factors have equally contributed in weaving magic!

That is exactly why the phenonenal success can't be credited to Gul or the screenplay writers alone... They also needed actors who could interpret n portray that commendable writing ably onscreen. For IPK to become the global phenomena it is today (for many it has become a benchmark of sorts for romance in Indian TV), it needed that ineffable chemistry between the 2 leads that was evident even in their first shot together - the ramp sequence!
But I agree that of what i hav seen to date, out of all their shows IPK n its script fetched out the best performances from BS n SI... Just like how their skills n chemistry enriched the writing as the show progressed.

I agree wid u on some points... I m hooked to the show nt bocoz of either sanaya or barun but for the awesome story but later on its only sarun chemistry which made me watch the show wid crap storyline lyk sheetal nd mrs india track... so i think credit goes to both the actors as well as creatives of IPK.. bt yeah sarun chemistry is d most accelerating factor of the show

Agree! None can create love stories like Gul Khan. I watch QH and I can see she is improving more and making her show more beautiful, a strong story with strong side characters. And I did not watch IPK last three months. Even Barun could not force me to watch the show. A strong story is very much needed. First six months of IPK was great, but after that when tracks like Bubly, Masala mama etc started, there was nothing. Even Rabba Vey could not save the show.
