Shruti gets scar

Actress Shruti Haasan is undoubtedly among the prettiest from the the crop of actresses and she will soon be seen in Nikhil Advani's D-Day in which she plays the role of a sex worker from Karachi, named Suraiya.

But even beauty has its flaws and as part of her look for the film, Shruti sports a ghastly scar right across one side of her face.

Says a source from the set, "The story of the scar dates back to Suraiya's past, when she entered the world of sex trade at 16. She was given this scar when her face was cut open by a pimp."

In fact, the source adds, "Few people know that Shruti has done a prosthetic make-up course. She, along with her father, were heavily involved in her look, giving inputs on the right colour, depth and how it would look as it ages."

But even with the scar, doesn't Shruti look stunning?
