Happy Birthday Shaleen Malhotra ' Life Behind Arjun Suryakant Rawte of Arjun ' Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek
Shaleen Malhotra as Arjun in Arjun- Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek
Shaleen Malhotra when we met for the first time on the set, was a guy who was smiling and having a banter with producer Gul Khan and Gorky. He was there for the look test. That was even before the shoot for Arjun -Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek had started. The discussion was about what is the most important aspect about acting and the unanimous conclusion was that the eyes, that are window to one's soul is the way one can emote best. Shaleen Malhotra who plays ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte in Arjun ' Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek is a young man who laughs a lot (his laugh lines around the mouth prove that). To play Arjun then seems like the tough job.
We keep hearing that he is unlike a hero. And when we asked Gorky, the creator of the show, what is his take on choosing Shaleen to play Arjun, his reply was that he had wanted an ordinary man with whom people would identify who has gone through extraordinary pain and lives by his own set of rules.

Shaleen's eyes are intense. And yes when in the character Arjun, it is really tough to look into his eyes for they show you the pain, the angst and the despair he feels. His hunger to find the man who was responsible for his wife's death is visible. The passion and pain merge into this ball of fire.
He plays Arjun to the T. Besides emoting through eyes as the rest of the face is stoic, Shaleen is fabulous at action. We have shown you some clips of the sequences he has done during the show. Another asset that Shaleen we believe he has is his voice. The confidence that this young man carries is palpable through his voice.
Okay, so we like Shaleen. Evidently. Today is his birthday and we at Forum 32 wish him a fantastic birthday, though perhaps it would be spent shooting. However, celebrating with the adoptive family has its own charm. The friends that he has found in Behzaad Khan, Ketan Karande, Siddharth Sen, Mrunal Thakur, Shital Shah and Ritu Chauhan is topped by a mentor he has found in Gorky. We have seen them discuss varied number of topics.
Here's a heartfelt Birthday wish for Shaleen and may he achieve the success he deserves and happiness that knows no bound.
