Salman Khan is like Tom cruise of India: Lauren Gottlieb

Lauren Gottlieb was seen in the film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance.

If international dancer-actress Lauren Gottlieb hopes to be seen in an action film soon a la Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, she also wants to team up with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

"I am looking to stretch myself. To come across the world and take projects in different languages is a big challenge. I want to make sure that I am growing. I have been in India for five months and it has taught me so much. Project-wise, I want to take something which stretches me. I would love to be the Angelina Jolie of India," Lauren told IANS.

In terms of projects, if she is looking for action-based films, she also hopes to work with Hindi film superstar Salman.

"I would want to be with Salman Khan. He is like the Tom cruise of India... I am waiting to see what happens," she said.

Meanwhile, she has put her dancing shoes on to participate in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa and said that reality shows provide a great platform for artists like her.

"Jhalak... came at a perfect time. I am excited to see where this goes. I saw how So You Think You Can Dance pushed my career and got Bollywood looking at me. I know what this platform (reality shows) can do for you," she said.

The actress revealed that "I have got a couple of offers for films, but I can't speak about it now"

Um no. That would be Shahrukh (in my honest opinion).

Internationally a lot more people know about Shahrukh and his films than Salman and his films.

But both Maine Pyar Kiya & Hum Aapke Hain Kaun opened pathways for Bollywood films overseas.

HAHK was first ATBB overseas. Though SRK is loved in North America and Europe.

Also SRK movies released under big banners like YRF and Dharma therefore having much wider release worldwide.

I am not denying SRK is extremely famous. But the truth is. When most media mentions worldwide, they mean North America (USA & Canada) & Europe (UK, Germany & Switzerland) But in other places like Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, South africa, New Zealand & Fiji, either Salman or Aamir movies hold record. I can do research on Box Office Mojo and show more details if needed. I just don't get how SRK being most famous Bollywood star, still isn't the most searched Bollywood star online - Like Salman not only leads in India but whole worldwide. (Google as my reference).

By the way, finally after so many year later. A Bollywood movie was ranked in top 10 most searched movies worldwide and that was Ek tha Tiger. Also can't forget Salman is the only actor of recent times to be listed in People's magazine USA for sexiest man alive. Other being Dharmendra. A list that is widely popular.

Also salman is perhaps the only indian whose looks have been ranked internationally with the likes of tom cruise 😆

Salman Khan the Tom Cruise of bollywood god no. SRK and Tom Cruise kind of fit together. Think about it Tom is pompous, crazy(oprah), hasnt aged well. Who does that remind us of? Lol. Bt on a serious note salman is just on a whole different level than any other star hollywood or bollywood.
