I really liked the intimate ceremony, no fuss, no crowds, just the family, people who will genuinely wish them well. They can protest till the cows come home, but the sagaai is very much asli. I loved the bit where her hand stopped trembling when he held it. I'd love to read more about Payal. Lovely glimpses into the struggles many families face- reusing old clothes, having just one pair of earrings, and yet, they're happy. They're happy because they realize they have each other, whereas there are so many out there with tons more, and they remain unhappy and lonely.
