This short O.S is based on what happened in friday's episode. I had so much fun in the thread reading everyone's reply as to how Asad might confess, I thought of writing this.
Confession
Asad's mind was peaceful after having a nice talk with his Ammi. She indeed was a very wise woman, he thought. Now the question was how to tell Ms.Farooqui that he wanted to marry her for real and for his love and not for his Ammi's health or because her Aapi was here. He loved her and he had to tell her about his feelings.
He tried to barge in to her room, but couldn't since she was sharing the room with her Aapi and he could hear Zeenat Aapi on phone from outside. He thought he would try when she is alone and went back to his room to work on his office files.
His Ammi knew how hard it was for her son to express his feelings. Dilshaad thought of giving him an opportunity. It was lunch time and as soon as lunch was done, Dilshaad told Zoya to go to the jewelery store and pick few bangles for herself. Dilshaad said "Zoya beta, I forgot to place order on the bangles. The rest of jewelery have been picked already. Could you please go and choose what you like the most. I will call the jeweler and tell him to expect you and Asad." She smiled.
"Ammi, me? I have a lot of work to do. Can't you go with Ms.Farooqui?" Asad chickened out.
"No Asad, I have more work to take care of at home than you do. Please take Zoya to our jeweler. She doesn't know where the place is, plus I don't want her to go alone." with that, she left the room.
Asad had no other choice but to take Zoya to the jeweler. "Ms.Farooqui, shall we leave?" Zoya nodded and went to get her handbag from her room.
Drive was quiet. For a change, Zoya kept quiet and Asad didn't know how to strike a conversation with her. "Ms.Farooqui, I have to tell you something" he said to which came the reply "What will you say Mr.Khan, Woh, actually, Woh and on and on. My mood is already very upset because of what happened in the morning. I don't want to talk to you about anything" with that, she started looking outside and Asad had no idea how to argue with her and tell her what he needed to tell her.
They reached the jewelery store and the shop owner greeted them with a huge smile and started showing Zoya lot of bangles. She had no idea what to choose or how many. Looking at her expression, Asad picked few bangles himself and pushed them towards her.
"Let it be Mr.Khan, you can save those for your real wale nikah. I will just pick something very simple"
"No Ms.Farooqui, you are getting these and that's all." turning towards the shop keeper, Asad told him to send those bangles along with the rest of the jewelery.
"Let's go unless you want to look at more stuff" he said to Zoya.
"Allah Miya what's wrong with you Mr.Khan? Phupi told me to pick bangles , not you."
"I want my wife to wear something nice. Not something plain and simple like your jeans" with this, he stormed out of the shop.
Zoya had no other option but to follow him. She sat in the car and buckled herself steaming with anger.
"Ms.Farooqui, did you know that Ammi was acting like sick. Thank God she is not sick" said Asad trying to make a decent conversation.
"Allah Miyan what is wrong with Phupi? Why did she do all the dramebazi? I know she loves me and all, but forcing you to marry me for that is not correct" She was worried about Phupi for nothing she thought.
"Oh my god, that means you are backing off the wedding right? Now how will I make Aapi understand this situation? I think I should just get ready to run away from the nikah and go to NY."
"Zoya..." came the angry reply with the screeching sound of the breaks. Asad pulled over the car and parked it.
"Don't ever talk like that. What will happen if you run away from our nikah? What am I going to do? Have you thought about it? No, why will you think? You just act. Have you even thought what will happen if you ran from the nikah?
"Mr.Khan, Aapi will be upset with me again, but she won't say anything to you, trust me" Zoya had tears in her eyes.
"Phupi is fine and you will be able to manage her. I know it will be humiliating in front of people, shall I run away before nikah then? Nothing will happen if that happens." she almost sobbed. She didn't want to leave him and go.
"I know that Phupi has challenged everyone that you will be married soon. You can marry some one whom you really want to marry and you don't have to get into this fake relation". Zoya wiped her tears and looked away.
"And what if I want to marry you and no one else?" said Asad softly.
"Come again, what did you say?" Zoya couldn't believe her ears.
"What if you are the one I want to marry because I love you very much?"
"And that I cannot think of a life without you? Will you stay then and marry me Zoya? Will you be my wife and share my home and life with me?"
Zoya's tears weren't stopping. She said "Woh actually Mr.Khan do you really mean it?"
Asad nodded. It was like a huge burden was taken off of his chest.
"Yaaay, Mr.Khan loves me. We are getting married, for real. Wait Mr.Khan, Are you going to call me Mrs.Khan after nikah?"
"Woh Actually Ms.Farooqui, I haven't thought about it yet" he smiled and started the engine.
