Hey I started watching PR religiously because rithvik was here
PKYEK is the only show I watched in 2011 , and I honestly rooted for Jeh and Pia :D
Now that said , I never watched pavitra rishta before because I was fed up of mata and I thought it would be another Kzk or Kyunki
But thanks to rithvik I started watching it and catched up with older episodes

Arvi CANNOT be the soul of PR. Now people have to make up their minds if ITA is a setup or not. When deepika won an award instead of Asha everyone said how it is staged. Then isn't RD's award staged too?

Just because rd is my favorite I cannot say he was the soul of PKYEK when it was Vivian
Calling someone the soul of the show is giving them all the credit for the show's success
It was sushant and ankita who made pr what it is
If there was no platform for rd and asha laid out
They wouldn't be as popular today
Of course after pr if rithvik goes on to play lead in another show
Then he will be the soul of the show
Because I will watch the show only for him since day 1
So will many of his other fans

I can call harshad the soul of kis desh or tere liye
Because he was
I can't call rithvik the soul of PR in which he entered 3 years after the show started

I can't believe the extent of arguments here
How can they even compare Ashvik to Arman

Dude you cannot just call anyone the soul of the show
If we Ovi supporters now say Ovi is the soul of the show
That will be wrong too
Because she isn't
And neither is your arvi
Just having chemistry doesn't make people a soul of the show

I used to watch this show regularly, because I liked the overarching concept (which has greatly changed). Now I just read the updates. I loved ArMaan and ArVi, and loved the mother daughter interaction of Purvi and Archana. But sadly now all I see is one big dysfunctional family; and at points it was like I was watching a completely different show. I am not for or against any of the characters, only because each character has been butchered. Everything has become so muddled that I am truly curious to see how this show will end on a happy note in the future.

This post is only to briefly state my opinion, nothing more.

i think the concept will return after arvi reunion and arhana's return

I hope so. Even though some of the characters have changed doesn't mean that the writers should forget about the original concept of the show.
