Mr. Bhansali rightly informed us that his team of creatives have not adapted the novel as it is and ofcourse, it wouldn't have been possible to but from where did they pick the changes from?
The Sets are lavish, every frame has a sense of grandness but it needs to be backed by a solid cast.
What's someone like Monica Bedi has been chosen for??
Any brilliant theatre actress could have played that role with so much more conviction. Why someone with the creative eye of Mr Bhansali has overlooked her limits as an actor?
And Gautam Rode, yes he's good looking, masculine but he lacks the intensity which a male protagnist in a character like this should have.
Mr Chetan Anand and Kumud's father are aptly cast and there it brings me to the only character which worked for me and for whom am going to watch the show-Kumud!
I like Jennifer but this praise is not out of bias.
We have a seen her cry a lot in her other shows and I really hope in this show offers her better!
Mr Bhansali, in these many years of watching Hindi television shows, we have seen many protagnists who are idealistic sons and daughters. We have seen many romantic love stories, but each time a promising love story knocks our door we welcome it with open arms...you're more than capable of presenting such love stories in a more dramatic way, but that drama will only be successful when its original and never before seen.
Kindly pay more attention to your ambitious and promising television venture and we promise to return just twice the affection!
