Of all the contestants who have been featured on the 'Swayamvar' (marriage) series, Rahul Mahajan is the only one who actually got married, and is keeping at it.
For the others, that's not quite the story. Ratan Rajput of the much-hyped 'Swayamvar Season 3: Ratan Ka Rishta' too has followed the footsteps of Rakhi Sawant — she got engaged on the show to Delhi-based contestant Abhinav Sharma, with the premise to marry later, but has now called off the relationship, thereby culling all talk about her impending marriage.
The actor has admitted to breaking up with Abhinav, who she met on the show, despite spending time with him to know him better, and eventually intending to marry him. When quizzed about it further, she confirms the separation. "I am not getting married to Abhinav. I don't want to disclose the details, but I am not ready for marriage and so we have decided to split for now," she says.
Ratan maintains that the break-up has not affected their friendship, and they would continue to remain close friends. "We are in touch with each other. We still call each other and talk on the phone, but marriage is not on the cards. Abhinav is only a friend."
Ratan had maintained a low profile ever since her engagement to Abhinav on the show, spending time with him to get to know him. However, post the break-up, she mentions she now intends to focus on her career. "I am playing a cameo on the mythological TV show, Mahabharat. But apart from that, I'm not doing much right now," she says.
Even though she has chosen to part ways with fianc Abhinav, she mentions that things might just change in future. "I don't know what the future holds, but at the moment, we have separated."
