Saraswatichandra's anger and denial toward the pressure from his dad is totally justifiable. This man has seen so much in his childhood,starting from the death of his biological mother to his father re-marrying to a woman who never gave him the love and affection a child needs. His childhood turmoil isn't allowing him to just say yes to marrying someone.
The failure of his parents relationship have built high walls that he is just not ready to let down yet. Hence his disbelief in marriage as the seven vows holds no importance in his life as he thinks they aren't enough to make a promise. All result of the broken crippled relation of his parents. Another reason of him not being ready to marry is his dad, the person according to him has no importance of relationships in his life pressuring him.
