The word sequel makes me snore. B Town has officially killed the idea of it

I think they meant a FRANCHISE of Dhadkan just like of Raaz, Jannat, Jism, Aashiqui... but Sequel is the most understood word in general public...
maybe that's why the word.

according to BOI Dhadkan was an average.. but the movie got famous.. Sunil got a filmfare for the movie..

I actually hated HDDCS, Aish was so annoying I wanted to destroy my eardrums. Now HDDCS was a snoozefess.

u r right, Dhadkan was not a superhit, let alone a BLOCKBUSTER😆 which the article claims.
Dhadkan's opening was BELOW AVERAGE and its final boxoffice verdict was AVERAGE.
Not even a hit.

for me it is only copying the trend of making sequels to successful romantic movies, started from Aashiqui's success.

Imo, Dhadkan was an average movie quality vice also:

1. Akshay with same average acting skills.
2. Shilpa was over the top as usual.
3. Mahima was totally wasted.
4. Sunil Shetty repeated his intense lover role character from Dilwale.
5. Direction was very ordinary.
6. Movie's look was kinda tacky.
7. Very overly melo-dramatic (just like DD's almost all movies)
8. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is no more to give a chart buster music again.
9. There was no novelty in the script and screenplay.
10. Presentation was not that full of spark.
11. The whole story was nicely finalized ended.

so all in all in my opinion, there is no need of making the sequel of this ordinary movie with slightly better music... but yeah, Aashiqui-2 has already alerted all the copy-cats
