MIGRATION! Is it necessary to leave a country ?????/

I think its an interesting topic to debate here.

Almost one in 10 British citizens lives overseas, according to new research. The study, carried out by the Institute of Public Policy Research, and published on the BBC News website, suggested that at least 5.5 million Britons are living abroad and that this number is likely to grow.

Researchers found that 75% of expat Britons are based in 10 countries. These are Australia, France, Spain, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Cyprus, the US, New Zealand and South Africa.

Have you moved away from the UK? What do you think of the report's findings? If you live abroad, why did you leave your native country?

"I share much of the sentiment expressed on this thread. We once had a country that was envied by much of the rest of the world. Now, we live in a surveillance society where it is a crime to celebrate "Christmas", lest we offend another religion (whom I dare not mention). One friend of mine has emigrated to Canada. Another friend has emigrated to China. I've thought of leaving, but this is my home & I have nowhere else to go. I will not be voting for Labour though, come the next election."

I think Emigration is part of life in Modern World. There is nothing wrong in moving from one country to another for family or career basis. This WORLD is becoming very small day by day. There are lots of Multinational Companies merging every day for good and so are the citizens of different countries.
There was one time, when people from India used to go to Foreign Countries and now in 21st century, people from different countries are moving to India for Business and Career purposes.

yeh people do also move because of better life and if its too expensive. I have seen people going because of these reasons. Lets for example i andromeda will move from UAE to UK next year because of better life and for higher education😳

Well, I think people migrate in search of a better standard of living or for more exposure. I have lived abroad for many years and definately the standard of living and certain opportunities are better there.

I support migration but one thing which I do not support is moving back when your kids are in their teens. Almost every teen who I have seen who has moved back from other countries has been ill-adjusted.
