Although his ambitious project, 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2' is clashing with Shah Rukh Khan's 'Chennai Express' at the box office this Eid, Akshay has been going out of way to steer clear of any confrontation with SRK for quite some time. And now TOI has figured out why.
According to reliable sources, Akshay, who is seen at his PR best these days, has on two separate occasions reached out to SRK attempting to figure out a film that can have both of them playing the leads.

"Akshay and Shah Rukh will deny this now, but both were trying to figure out if a movie can be made with the two of them in the lead," the source said.

Both Akshay and SRK have strong PR machineries constantly working towards building their image. However, a film with Shah Rukh would have worked in favour of Akshay. According to records, over the last five years, most of Akshay's hits have been multi-starrers.

"Akshay and Shah Rukh had two meetings regarding this but things didn't work out. However, SRK has assured Akshay that he will work out something once they figure out the right script," the source added.

Except for karan arjun,deewana and darr SRK has hardly worked in a 2 hero movie where the other hero has a big role as him or is as big star as him so i dont believe this 😆
