Sources say that Karan Grover, currently seen in Hum Aapke Hai In-laws has been finalised to play the lead role in Punarvivah2. Earlier there was talk of Angad Hasija doing the role but that did not work out. A source says that they wanted somebody as hot as Gurmeet Choudhary to take the serial forward and Karan fits the bill. The actor who came into the limelight with Saarthi has several hit serials to his credit including Woh Rehnewali Mehlon Ki and Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. Karan, however, refused to confirm or deny the news. Buzz is that Aamna Shariff (best remembered as Kashish of Kahin Toh Hoga, and seen recently in Honge Juda Na Hum) Ashima Bhalla (she had co-starred with Karan in Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni) and Shristi Rode (best known as Manjari of Yeh Ishq Haye) are in the contention for the female lead. The story, adds the source is a love triangle between one guy and two girls. The new season will start airing from May 20.
