Siddhanth Mehra: Siddhanth is a young, confident and a successful lawyer. A corporate dude, he is crystal clear about his targets in life. A no-nonsense person, he gets straight to business and meticulously works out the intricacies of any case he takes up. Siddhanth is branded to be a winner. Was an idealist when he had passed out of the law college but as he tasted success he climbed up the corporate ladder and lost his soul in the process. He lives with his architect girlfriend, Alka. But the relationship stagnates and they eventually part ways. He meets his ex-flame, Shruti, now the home minister's wife and relives old moments. Shruti's death in an accident begins Sid's journey as an investigative lawyer.
Himangi: A go-getter, Himangi is a young journalist. She is passionate about writing and covers unusual, dangerous subjects while most girls of her age report for page 3. Seeing Siddhanth as a potential help, she approaches him after Shruti is killed. All she cares about is the book that she wants to write on this high profile case. Gradually, she looks up to Siddhanth and a bond grows between them. She is the motivation factor in his search for redemption.
Saxena: The home minister, with an ideal, Gandhian public image masking a side that is completely and irredeemably corrupt. From getting his wife Shruti murdered to supporting orphanages that is a vice den of paedophiles like him, Saxena is the Devil in the robes of a Saint.
Navya: Navya, a last year law school student is the latest entry in Siddhanth's life. Siddhanth who is slightly wary of women at this stage in his life is forced to take her under his wing, as she is his judge friend's daughter. Impulsive, impatient, candid to the point of being irritating, Navya gets on to Siddhanth's nerves from day one. Yet her smartness and more than willing to learn attitude negates whatever follies she commits. Her relationship with Siddhanth is one day fine, one day disaster kinds. She is everything Siddhanth is not yet at times she makes Siddhanth look at her in a new light because of her timely help and then spoils it again with her stupid innocent acts. For Siddhanth it's a catch 22 situation where he cant throw her out and at the same time cant keep her too. But Navya is determined to find her place under the sun, whether or not Siddhanth likes it. She has a 'I care a damn attitude' about most things in life and this very attitude sees her through a lot of things.
Mrs Deshpande: Mrs Deshpande is Siddhanth Mehra's house caretaker. Yet she in many ways is Siddhanth's caretaker too. Having her own take on life and incidents, Mrs. Deshpande is a breath of fresh air in Siddhanth's otherwise highly intense life. A die-hard bollywood fan, Mrs. Deshpande has to watch Shahrukh Khan's films first day first show. Many a times Mrs. Deshpande with her innocent remarks makes Siddhanth see reason to things, he has not even thought of. Motherly and adorable she provides Siddhanth the sense of homecoming he has been deprived of since childhood. She strongly abhors certain aspects of Siddhanth's lifestyle but she adores and spoils Siddhanth to a great extent. A colorful character, she is largely responsible in bringing lightness to Sidhanth's lie. In her presence, Siddhanth is more relaxed, less grim and cheerful. She with her affinity to music many a times makes Siddhanth hum along with her, a welcome break to the otherwise sober Siddhanth we know.
ACP Nethra Menon: Nethra is the perfect example of the saying 'If a man can do a good job, she could do it better'. Her male colleagues are in awe of her and she manages to send them in a frenzy even without raising an eyebrow. She is the no- nonsense cop who gives Siddhanth a run for his money. Her extreme dedication to her profession and 'go get it' attitude strikes the right chord with Siddhanth who is equally passionate about his work. In a man's world Nethra stands upright, booking culprits and beating them at their own game, despite staying within the parameters of law. For her, the means don't justify the end as for Siddhanth. Nethra is probably the only woman Siddhanth looks upto and goes for advice and Nethra in turn proves to be both a professional help and friend to him. Together they make a rocking team and each time Nethra and Siddhanth put their heads together for a case, they not only make headlines, they set the crime world on fire.
