They say dream 'big' and it seems Telly town heartthrobs are taking it to heart. A crossover from the small screen to
Bollywood is what the small screen scorchers are opting for of late. A sizeable chunk lot of television hotties are gearing up to follow the footsteps of Shah Rukh Khan, Vinay Pathak, Prachi Desai and Rajeev Khandelwal to tinseltown. The heartbreakers who once wooed audiences every night in the confines to their boudoirs are undergoing rigourous fitness regimes to shape up as superstars in the making. Here's how their metamorphosis took place.

Barun Sobti
Last TV show: Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?
Film debut: Main Aur Mr Right
Films in hand: 22 Yards
For the big leap: Quit his TV show; grew his hair; worked out for six packs
One hit show changed this Diliwala's fortune and made him the toast of small screen overnight. Barun Sobti who's keen on doing a "reality show some time if the offer's interesting" and has refused TV soap offers after IPKKND went off air, is currently rehearsing for Mitali Ghoshal's untitled next flick being shot in Kolkata. For now Barun's taking it slow and steady and says, "My creative team's work on my hairstyle to give me a distinct look. We have finalized a couple of hair-dos as of now." All 'looks' fine here to us.

Hussain who's been much loved for his turns in Kumkum and Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and has anchored various seasons of Indian Idol is waiting for "exciting Bolly scripts."

Sushant Singh Rajput
Last TV show: Pavitra Rishta
Film debut: Kai Po Che directed by Abhishek Kapoor in Feb
Films in hand: Peekay, an untitled Maneesh Sharma flick with Parineeti Chopra
For the big leap: Quit Pavitra Rishta and stayed away from TV for two years; worked on his physique and flaunted six packs for his shirtless look in Kai Po Che.
Sushant Singh Rajput's Bolly debut in Kai Po Che earned him rave reviews and BO success. Sushant who had once said, "TV had nothing worthwhile to offer" is now being touted as television's finest import to Bollywood and is a leading player in the current crop of newbie actors. He's also inked in his first cola commercial! Way to go SSR!

Manish Paul

Debut: Mickey Virus
Films in hand: Tere Bin Laden 2
For the big leap: Hit the gym for a chiselled physique as he goes shirtless in his debut film as a lead
The RJ turned actor from Delhi had done cameos in Maruti Mera Dost and Tees Maar Khan and is currently working hard on his looks for his two upcoming films. Manish shares, "The role demanded a fit look as I'll be taking off my shirt in one sequence. I'm maintaining my fitness regimen by toning up and am following a diet that includes customized protein shakes. So I'm resisting foodie temptations for now."

For the big leap: Got tattoos done, funky hair style
In between doing Punjabi movies and looking after his family business, Karan's putting in the right amount of effort for his Bolly debut. He says, "Post The Serial, I hardly had time to focus on my looks, but I've been working out a lot and beefed up to for a toned physique. I'm looking different but I'm enjoying the phase."

Yeah, its sad very sad, MR not in the list, but i blame his aloofnes too for the position that he finds himself. Now which actor can dream to make it big without making some kind of appearance in public n that too in his chosen field? He is yet to give a photoshoot even after passage of considerable time. Agree, he has a different approach unlike others, refuses to be part of the rat race yet, its gonna be tuff to get noticed if you chose to be busy in just PHD 🤔

With his maiden venture too stuck in the pipeline, its kind of disappointing to say the least.

I agree with you Bharti😭😭...Yeah His aloofness is the main reason😭😭...He didn't bother about photo shoot or any thing😭...yeah he is a different celeb in TV industry...mmm...Hope He'll come back with a very big bang😳.

he isn't looking for work on tv..his style proves it...many of the names mentioned will find it difficult to get release of movie ..still all the best to all of them

And to make it worse his terrible hairstyle. Its as if he is telling the world "I am a champu...dont look at me".
