Prarthna is shown oiling her grandma's hair.Dadi sees that Aakash is engrossed in some thought.On asking him about it,he confessses that he is amazed by the fact that the little sister whom he used to bring toffess and who used to jump at his very sight had now grown up to be old enough to get married.He muses thatthe 'raunak' of the house -his sister will go away in a few days and he hopes she will continue to glimmer and shine in her new home.
Dadi says that any good brother or parents always think like this when the daughter of the household gets married.She says this is because boys are told to behave as a good son and a good brother but not as a good husband or a good son-in-law.She muses that this inequality will be wiped away the day when boys will be reared like that and trained to be a good son-in-law and a good husband as well.
She says that Akash will have to live up to this responsibility to which akash nods in affirmative.
He sees that the curtains are rolled up in one corner and asks why chandu hasnt done the work.Not wanting to delay the work till evening he gets up and attends to it himself.Prarthna asks him about Poonam and his story to which he replies that Prarthna must have made stories regarding the two in her mind.He does not even know whether Poonam ji will be in his life.When Prarthna says why he has doubts he tells that he and Poonam are two very different beings.Prarthna replies that he has no shortcomings to which he answers that the question is not about shortcomings but about a different issue like she is very beautiful.Dadi says that her Nandgopal is also very beautiful just like a hero while Poonam says he is a super hero.He goes and asks this to Dadi who retaliates by asking if he truly loves Poonam.He once again says yes to which Dadi replies that he will surely get her.Dadi asks him to be stubborn before god and demand poonam's presence in his life.Aakash is super-excited after hearing this and is hell determined to do it but Dadi asks him to perform some other job first.When Aakash quizzes her about that Dadi says that he will first have to get all details about Poonam like what she likes,what she hates,how many members are there in her family and all that.
Prarthna is amazed and asks that hasnt Aaksh spoken to her even a bit to which Aakash replies in negative saying that in front of her he is tongue-tied and that his feelings from his heart gets stuck at his tongue and he could not vent them before her.
Prarthna assures him that modern girls like men like him who are handsome ,rough and tough and caring and English is not a judgemental criterion for them.Aakash dismisses her words as the loving words from a sister but Dadi says that how can a guy who has been shouldering responsibilities since the age of 16 be shy in front of a girl.
Poonam is shown sad and depressed sitting on the ghats,lost in her thoughts where suman scares her.Poonam confesses that she is not ready for marriage to which Suman demands an answer.Poonam says that she wants to complete studies first.Suman says that it is not an issue at all as she can continue studies post wedding .Poonam says she wants to shoulder her parents' responsibilty as Deepak is abroad.suman asks that why hasnt her parents left for America while they were intending to do so and wasnt it finalised that they will stay with Deepak.
Poonam says that yes it was finalised but diverts the issue not wanting to spill the beans.She says that she is also responsible for her parents as much as Deepak is.She wonders why girls are always treated like some distant part of the household and why cant they be trusted upon to bear the same responsibilities as a guy.
Suman says that it is the ways of the world.Poonam gets visibly upset at this answer but suman just smiles.Suman tries doing a shayari as she thinks people who sit down on ghats are a little poetic by nature but fails to do it successfully.
Vandana calls Deepak and lets him know about the marriage plans of Gautam and poonam.While Deepak explains his reservations about this early marriage Vandana reasons out that nowadays guys who do not want dowry and are honest and truthful are in a rarity but Gautam is one of them.She however explains the problem of Poonam not gioving her assent to the marriage.Deepak gets emotional.Vandana assures that he will be informed of all the decision.
Deepak's wife gets upset as they wont get the FD now bcoz of Poonam's marriage which disgusts Deepak even more.He starts crying thinking Poonam refused the marriage to support him financially and that he was just a selfish creep.
Suman and poonam chat about their old memories related to the ghat and the discussion inadvertently goes to the topic of Deepak.Poonam confesses she misses him a lot and gets his call just then.
He asks her to get married which upsets Poonam even more.
Before leaving for Lucknow to get the details of poonam Aakash seeks the blessings of his Dadi who advises him that to be stubborn before god he needs to recite the lines
"Poonam ji meri hai
Main aur poonam shaadi kar rahe hain" time and agin which will surely bring success to his plans.AAkash is impressed by the idea.
Dadi becomes sad thinking of how Aakash has forgotten his own life to take tender care of others.
He meets Chandu on the porch and bewilders him with these lines when the latter questions him about the Lucknow trip.Chandu inquires about the truthfulness of these words to which Aakash just sniles.
