The motto seems to be, we will give award to whatever is the flavor of the month as opposed to a discerning understanding of acting talent. 😆 High TRP shows does not necessarily translate into stories with substance.

I wonder if there is even one award show like the Oscars or the Emmys where the winner is chosen not based on how much ratings they got but actually looking at how difficult their roles are and how they well they have portrayed these roles. As long as you have public voting in these awards, I will always doubt the authenticity of these awards. If there is a jury that is not affiliated to any of these blasted channels and then they pick the actors based on their talent and acting skill and the story content and characterizations then yes that would be wonderful.
