Do TV stars ever read the paper?

It seems like they're clueless about the things going on around them, so much so that most of them have no idea whether their own show is going off-air or not. I just read the KBC article, and Pallavi says she has no clue whether KAA is going off air or not. That is the typical, run-of-the-mill response from actors when contacted about a show going off air. It's like HELLO, this is equivalent to a work-place being shut down, the employees usually do have an idea of whether the place is shutting down or not. I wonder why these stars are (or pretend to be) so oblivious to something that is so personal to them!? 😕

Doris Dey goes out to the press and tells them that KAA is going off air.. and
the main protagonist Pallavi has no clue about it!!
