Shiv-Gauri abt todae's episode

One thing i dont understand is why is it mahen is blamed when devika said nikhila is behind it...is it because they cant pic nikhila being the sole mastermind or they think nikhila doesnt do anything without the husband??

Another thing why did nikhila only want gauri to marry shiv...they must be a reason for that which has not been revealed otherwise any poor or unknown girl could have married shiv??? Why all the planning to get shiv marry gauri??/

Why did the guruji say tht shiv and gauri marriage was a neccessity...why would a priest suggest something tht will cause an innocent girl death??

I think there is more to the raaz than wht has been shown as nikhila never explained herself and why shiv agreed to this plan...somehow i think there is something in gauri's kundali which has not been revealed and when it is revealed there would be another thunderstorm in the kapoor house and alok and mahen will become friends again. I think devika only knows half truth abt the kundali and due to tht led to more problems. As they say half truth is worse then a whole lie.
