@blue above, sorry the prediction of mid-wives is not reliable, but in India a lot of unltrasound clinics use code to tell the gender of yet to be born child.

I didn't find the Shekars hospitality absurd. They just went a little over board. They were always liberal about JaAn relating ship. It's like, they trust Anandi and also Jagya in a way considering all what his parents did to Anandi during marriage and considering how he treated sanchi in jester hospital despite sanchi's out right dislike to be treated by him initially. They know that their daughter is a nutcase . They might not suspect that she is falling for him. They know that she hurt him before by rejecting his treatment. so there is a possibility for them to think that she is making up for it.
