'Chaliye Anandi' said shiv as he extended his hand to help her step out of the car.
'Shiv ye kahan aa gaye hum?' she asked curiously
'abhi thodi dair main pata chal jayega' said Shiv as he started walking with her towards what seemed like the beginning of lush forest.
'Lekin Shiv ye tho bohot ghana jungle lagtha hai bahar sey' said Anandi innocently
Shiv laughed at her remark
'Ye jungle nahi hai Anandi. Bus yahan per collection of trees hai. Bahar sey jungle lagtha hai'
Anandi then saw what shiv was talking about. There was a path in between the trees that seemed to lead to the other side of the road.
The night was dark and Anandi held tightly onto Shiv's hand.
Shiv slowly took her closer to him and put his hand around her waist and continued walking.
Soon they arrived at an open patch of green surrounded by trees. Right in the middle was the most beautiful setting she had ever laid her eyes on.
'Wow Shiv!' she said
Shiv smiled at her. He felt immensely relieved that Anand's expression. He had been worried if she would like it or not.
Anandi sprinted towards the table and looked around.
'bohot khoobsurat hai Shiv' ye aapnay kab kya?
Shiv smiled and moved towards her
Anandi looked up and saw the dark sky meet the distant trees. She rubbed her hands together and put her hands around herself. It seemed to have gotten more chilly.
Shiv had come from behind and rubbed her shoulders to give her warmth. He then started to take out his jacket
'Iski koi zaroorat nahi hai' said Anandi as she backwards towards Shiv's tight embrace.
Shiv smiled and took her into his arms and hugged her tightly from her back. The warmth of his shoulders sent shudders throughout her body. They stood there in the arms or each other for a long time. Just gazing at the sky.
Shiv slowly moved his hands around her waist. She jerked slightly as his hands touched her bear skin and found their way to clasp each other.
Shiv then placed a soft kiss on her neck.
She did not want to stop him but she became suddenly aware that they were outside and it was possible that people might see them.
Shiv seemed to understand her body language as he also let her go.
'Yahan koi nahi hai Anandi' he said
Anandi felt shy. Her ears turned red.
'acha Anandi aapnay dekha nahi main aur kya kya laya hun?' said Shiv suddenly. He wanted to get her mind off any distraction and make her feel comfortable.
Anandi felt lighter and the curiosity returned to her eyes. She skipped towards the table and saw that there was a beautiful basket laid on the middle. She noticed that it had a thin bottle with glasses and a lot of other things she did not recognize.
'Anandi aap baitiye' suggested shiv as he pulled a chair towards her. He then placed a table cloth on the table and placed two plates. He then took out two wraps and placed it on their plates.
'Ye kya hai Shiv' asked Anandi
'isko wraps kehthay hain' said Shiv
'Ye tho roti ki tarah lag rahi hai. Bas lagtha hai ki kuch bhara hua hai andhar' said Anandi
Shiv smiled at her and nodded
'han isi tarah ka hai kuch'
He then placed two glasses and poured orange looking liquid into it
Anandi silently looked at shiv and emotions came pouring to her. How her life has changed. Never in her wildest dreams could she imagine that, she, a village girl, would have such a wonderful husband. Someone who shares her dreams and thoughts. Someone who loves her despite her shortcomings and tragic past. How was that she had gotten so lucky.
'Kya hua Anandi?' asked Shiv. He seemed to have noticed the sudden change in her facial expressions.
'Kuch nahi Shiv bus lagtha hai aankhon main kuch chala gaya hai. lekin abh teekh hai' said Anandi smiling and wiping her tears off quickly before they became much more evident.
Shiv pulled his chair closer to Anandi. He had decided to sit near her rather than the opposite side of the table.
'Ye lijiye' he said as he offered Anandi his wrap for a bite.
Anandi smiled at him and gladly took and bite. She then did the same by asking him to take a bite out of her wrap.
'mm ye tho bohot tasty hai shiv' said Anandi
'Thanks! maine choti ma ko kaha tha banany ke liye'
'Main soch hi rahi thi shiv ki Ma ko bata dena chahiye ki hum thodi dair se aayengay' said Anandi
'don't worry they already know' said Shiv
'Aur aapka college kaise ja raha hai' he asked
'Teekh hai. Kafi kuch seekhnay ko mil raha hai. Aur professor Joseph bhi kafi achay hain' she said
'aapka kaam kaise ja raha hai shiv' asked Anandi
'Teekh hai. Lagtha hai yaahan per kafi kuch kerna hai. Ek builder ka issue chal raha hai abh. Dekhthay hain kahan thak baat jathi hai' said Shiv
'Lekin main Jetsar ko bohot miss kertha hun. Wahan kay log aur problems kithnay simple hai na' said Shiv
'Han shiv, ye tho hai. Jagah choti hai tho samasyaen bhi kam hi hongi. Kabhi kabhi tho is baday sey shehar sey dar lagtha hai' said Anandi
'Main samaj saktha hun. Lekin kehthay koi baat nahi. Aapka saath hai tho mujhe badi sey badi pareshani bhi choti lagthi hai' said SHiv
'I hope ki main aapkay is vishwas per khari uthrun' said Anandi worried
'Mujhe tho pura bharosa hai Anandi. Aur aaj ka din hi le lijiye...apkay aae hue abhi kithnay din hue hain.. lekin phir bhi aapnay voh soch liya jo yahan kay rehnay walay bhi soch nahi paaye' said Shiv proudly.
Anandi looked doubtful but decided to not dwell on those thoughts any more.
Shiv was looking at Anandi and he knew that she was worried about her life in Udaipur. The events of the day had certainly made her more aware. He wanted to take her mind off that.
'Pata hai ye idea kis ka tha' asked Shiv
Anandi looked up at him and then said
'Mahi bhaiyah ka'
'aapko kaise patha' said Shiv with pouted lips
Anandi laughed
'mujhe pata hai. aapko aise ideas Mahi bhaiyyah hi dethay hain' said Anandi
'Nahi idea tho uska hi tha lekin jagah maine chuna tha aur ye sabh tayyiyariyan bhi maine hi ki hai' continued shiv through his pouted lips.
Anandi placed her hands on his cheeks
'Main ye bhi janthi hun'
Shiv smiled and he placed his hands on top of hers.
Anandi mujhe aapsey kuch kehna hai.
'kya main aapko kiss ker saktha hun' asked Shiv
Anandi took her hands away from his cheeks. Her ears started turning red and heart pacing. She did not know how to answer this question. It was strange that he was asking permission for something that is his right. She felt extremely shy and confused. If he would have gone ahead she would not have minded but him asking her permission was what made her extremely conscious.
How can she say yes? her heart continued to thump louder than ever.
She looked down and then gave what seemed like the slightest of jerk.
'Acha.. mujhe nahi patha tha ki aapkay dil main aisi bhi khwaish hai' said Shiv suddenly.
Anandi looked up and saw that he had the most silliest of smirks on his face.
She became angry. Her face became flushed.
Shiv started to earnestly laugh. He seemed to have been teasing her. He wanted to see her reaction to such a question and enjoy the sudden hullaballoo of expressions that must have flooded on Anandi's face.
'Main ghar jana chahthi hun' said Anandi Angrily
'Acha sorry... main mazak ker raha tha'
This some how made her even more angrier. So was it funny for him to want to kiss her?
'kya matlab..'she started but decided to not word her thoughts
Shiv laughed out louder.
'Nahi nahi ...mera matlab voh nahi tha' he continued
Anandi got up and started to move away when she felt herself flying towards shiv. He caught her in his arms and she was now sitting on his lap. He then looked intensely in her eyes.
He then moved his face closer towards her and with his hands tightly wrapped around her waist, he started passionately kissing her lips.
After what seemed like eons to Anandi, he moved his head away from her.
'main mazak nahi kar raha tha' he said ..
