Lolzzz... I'm a pure Mulsim born n brought up in Bhopal... Have attended Hundreds of weddings, had many in family, but never heard about this Ritual ever...

But the essense of it is, the wedding things given to the bride n groom... Girl's family brings it for the boy, like Nikaah ki Sherwani, Jootis, ect-ect... N Boys family brings for the Girls, like Nikaah ka Joda, Bangles, footware, ect-ect, along wid Shagun-types, wid Bataashe, Sweets, Fruits, Dry Fruits ect... N this is called Bari... Along wid this, they bring clothes for close relatives n Family members, That is known as 'Jodey- Beedey'

But the Roflsome part of this ''Rasm-e-Saugaat'' according to the show is, Groom gifting something to the bride... Lolllzzz... Groom gifts to his bride only on Mooh-Dikhaayi , that too on Suhaag Raat ( I mean usually aisa hi hota hai... One can give after Nikaah also) BUT... After nikaah ONLY... So I felt really to laugh my head off at that...

One more thing, I want to mention... The dresses, what Shireen n Razia wore, n the kind of dress up they were In Ayaan- Humaira's engagement, a Big-big Lol... Because, I've mever seen any of the Groom n Bride's Mothers wearing that kind of dresses... Wen, they get so elderly (Like Razia is) They do no prefer wearing Gharaara... Specially when ur body is on a heavier side... N Maag-Teeka.. God! I was really bemused...

N the Laancha-Sharaara, that Shireen wore... Again... Mothers prefer wearing Salwar-Kurta, Sarees, Bhopali Joda, ect... Lolz...
