Sarabjit Singh lost his battle for life in a hospital in Lahore on 2nd May.He was held captive in a prison there since 1990.

On 28th August,1990 Sarabjit lost his way home and crossed an unmarked Indo-Pak border where he was arrested by Pakistani Rangers.Sarabjit was accused of spying and was given death penalty.Authorities claimed that Sarabjit was actually Manjit Singh who was responsible for Lahore bombing.

Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur carried out a long struggle for over 22 years to get her brother back to his own soil.After 23 years Sarabjit returns home in a coffin leaving everyone in tears.

May his soul rest in peace and his family gets strength to bear this irreparable loss .

Very sad thing whatever happened with Sarabjit Singh as he didn't deserve to die this way :(

His sister may have lost her battle but salute to her - she fought to the end👏👏.

I salute his family for fighting such a long and lonely fight to set him free. He is truly free now. May he RIP.

RIP, Sarabjeet Singh!
Heaven is surely the best place for you.
A salute to his family, specially to his sister Dalbeer. A poor innocent farmer never deserved it.

Every Indian must feel the pain he went through since past 23 years.
RIP!
