As someone rightly pointed remaining calm/silent in the worst situations is NOT a sign of weakness! He has suffered a lot because of chain of events. Vo bhi bachpan main! Childhood tragedies are never easy to cope. Sometimes it remains fresh as ever. Memories will continue to haunt even if u want to move on.
Saras has never been loved or comforted unlike kumud who's always been cushioned n pampered to death! Everyone knows what role parents can play in their children's constructive growth. Heck he didn't even have a them around to share his sports win or school fight. So this has affected him to such an extent that it has become his personality. Lets take kumud in this matter she has always been ziddi n egoistic type who pokes nose in others matter inspite of being told not to do so. This is her personality! Will she change or give up on something she very badly wants even if it is childish? Nahi na!

Black mailing a guy in the name of his deceased mom n her sanskaars makes that person strong...?
Refusing to forget the rejection faced n falling for the same person who rejected u/not having control over ur emotions/mind makes that person strong...?
Letting ur daughter stay out of the house to help a guy in the night without thinking about the consequences n playing the dirty blame game after everything is done and
Hiding rejection from husband hoping that the guy in question will change his decision since he is the son of Saraswati makes that person strong...?
Calling a guy swarthi n kaayar and challenging him to come to India as u cannot break the news to ur daddy dearest, makes that person strong...?
I don't get it!

because he doesn't have the confidence that he can keep Kumud happy! Nor he is certain about KUMUD's love for him! Saras has a lotof emotional baggage he doesn't feel that he is cut out for marriage due to it!

Saras' character is well defined. Yes he is shown to be emotionally vulnerable. This does not make him weak. This shows that he is a real person who feels real emotions. I find this characteristic endearing and feel most of us can relate to him.
