I don't despise him. Some of his movies are in my most favorite BW films list: Sadak, Arth, Tamanna, Zakhm, Dil Hain ki Maanta nahin. But yea he comes across as a pervert and tends to have an opinion on everything. That is annoying.

i don't despise him. as a person he acts like a jerk but there are many jerks in bollywood already. his work in films is considered the finest in the bollywood cinema. I once saw 'Zakhm' and the movie is so touching that i could not sleep at night. Especially when pooja bhatt dies after crying 'ajay's name. also saranash. tht's a big classic. all his critically acclaimed failed in a row becoz ppl don't pay for sentiments. if it was the other way round. i am sure he had been a better person for what he really is.

Mahesh Bhatt , started off directing great and path-breaking movies like Arth etc, then his ego exploded - Praveen Babi happened - that stupid, ew moment with his daughter and now he annoys by being the sole Bollywood representative on every national issue. I don't want his face on NDTV daily.
