Helping Saras or herself?

Kumud Kumud Kumud. While others empathise with Saras and wish they could do something to help him, Kumud takes his pain upon herself. The way she was crying remembering the flashbacks of Saras crying, her eyes were expressing all the anguish herself.

'Uska dard mehsoos kar sakti hoon'...she didn't just say that for the sake of it, she really feels what he does. It disturbs her soul as if it's physically hurting her. What Saras silently suffers within closed doors, she was expressing vehemently in front of DukhBaa. She was asking her why isn't anyone helping Saras? He's in so much pain, why can't anyone do anything? That was her soul screeching for help because she can't handle it. While everyone looks on, Kumud is the one who is suffering alongside Saras. I think even DB was quite shocked to see Kumud so shaken up.

The way her tired eyes lit up when she saw Saras in the mandir. Man I have not seen her in so much love as I did today. She seemed hopelessly in love today and she felt the relief of seeing him ok. Even Saras knew she was outside the whole night, their eyes said it all. That protectiveness she has...phew! She didn't shy from telling Nandu off either. She didn't care that Saras rejected her, she understands him completely now.

SOULMATES <3 Thats the definition of their relationship.

That's the thing about them. Their bond from the start has always been an emotional one. Everything else transcends from there. Kumud's anguish is always so visible when Saras is tormented by the ghosts of his past. And Kumud- Saras(Jennifer-Gautam) make that connection seem so natural because after watching them I'm not like how can one feel the other's pain rather I feel that's why they are meant to be.
I saw some complaints about lack of romantic scenes. But today when Saras came out of his room (read:desolation), walked past every member of the family, maintaining eye contact with Kumud alone as if saying that I'll be okay , that right there was romantic for me. And that smile of relief that Kumud gave was ah!

Helping him is helping herself too😊. One can feel her protectiveness and his possessiveness even in their body language despite their self imposed chaar kadam ki doori and jaazbaton ki doori. Look at him listening to his dad praise his Kumud.

Gautam and Jen are amazing. Awww, I am going to start phan gurling over Samud now😳

What is romance? Is it only physical? Not to say that I don't enjoy the physical closeness but Kumud waiting for Saras outside his room the whole night is romantic, Saras knowing she was there was romantic, the way she smiled from the heart with tears in her eyes upon seeing him was romantic and the unsaid understanding between them was romantic.

That's classic romance for me.

Exactly.
I am very particular about physicality on screen. I may sound hypocritical but I like it enacted by select people only. If I as a viewer can feel the sensuality it works for me otherwise it goes wrong and is not romantic. Again it's subjective and my opinion alone.
But there's is a different kind and it's more soothing than arousing, more intimate than physical

And that's only going to increase, the protectiveness and posessiveness. The way he looked at her the next morning, it doesn't feel like he will give her the cold shoulder anymore.

Totally agree! If she's only doing this for Dugba then what was the reason for getting so emotional at his pain? Ms. Kumud Sundari, you are in love!

@ bold - brilliant. So true.

It was not so much the lack of romantic moment today, it was a shared moment of Samud with no one around, just the two of them in the morning when he opens the door and finds her waiting there. It does not have to be physical at all. I was visualizing how magical it would be. Instead we have Kusum waking up Kumud! I was disappointed.😳

@ red - yes that was romantic, Also Kumud telling him she will wait for him, then correcting herself that she will wait for him to open the door and come out. She said it, she will wait for him. I hope he heard that.

^^ I agree. It would have totally been a high point and I was expecting that too. Wasn't disappointed because the other scene made it up.
I was talking about complaints in generala about the romance quotient lacking and the content being high on emotion.

Watching the episode again and take notice how Kumud says 'Usse bahut ghutan ho rahi hai Badi Maa'. She's talking in present tense because she's feeling suffocated herself and then she pleads DB to do something. It's quite fascinating to watch the heartwrenching relationship they share.
