PART 33: HOW WERE YOU HERE KUSHI??
arnav stood as if a angel had just come and lifted off the rock in his shoulder... he felt a rise of amiles within... a feeling that could not be explained... she had shown him something which he would have never possibly seen otherwise... well maybe they named her kushi perfectly...
he smiled and set out in search of her...
he saw kushi cleaning the stuff at the dining table...
arnav walked over to her... she could sense his presence but something kept her away from turning into his eyes...
arnav: kushiii
kushi stiffened and trying to ignore his eyes: arnavjii you want something... shall i get you something to drink
arnav in a soft tone: you just gave me kushi...
kushi: hmm ok arnavjiii... i shall clean this and leave immediately...
there was a guilt in her voice
arnav in a husky tone: and if i request you to stay
she was suprised... she had entered his most private day and was expecting a ASR rxn but
kushi turned and looked at arnav:
kushi: arnavjiii but i thought you don like to meet anyone today
arnav: but i guess the rule is already broken kushi.. its 3 pm and you are here since long ...
kushi looked up .. arnav held her shoulder and made her sit on the chair by the table....
arnav: did you eat??
kushi looked into his eyes and nodded
arnav got up and took a plate and served it with some rice
kushi interfered: arnavjii i had
arnav looked at her: you are thin enough to eat a second time kushi
kushi tried to hide a smile at his comment
arnav: you can smile..
... you look beautiful when you do
kushi blushed
arnav pulled a chair near kushi and held out the food in a spoon
kushi looked into his eyes and it was as though they were posing for a picture perfect moment
arnav: kushiii
kushi opened her mouth and took in the food happily
when arnav tried to take the next he winced caused his hand was hurt
kushi took the plate from him: i willl have arnavjii its okay
arnav smiled and gave it to her half heartedly
arnav kept looking at her as she had the food
arnav : thanks kushi
kushi looked up:
arnav: i do not know may be if you had not come at that time i would ahve been
kushi immediately left the spoon and closed his mouth with her hands: no dont talk like that
arnav: i was practical kushi.. if you had not come
kushi: i would have
arnav: and if it had been late
kushi: how can that be when i am here since last night.. i would have anyway
arnav was shocked amused and suprised
arnav: what the!! you are here since last night... btw how did you even know i was here.. di told you na
kushi: nooo
arnav: it should have been nk
kushi: no poor nanheji
arnav: but whooo
kushi: woh actually...
arnav: come on kushi temme
kushi : but one condition
arnav with a smirk: whats with you and conditions now a days kushi
kushi made a puppy face: ok i wont tell you

arnav smiled : promise its a deal

arnav showed a baby anger: ITS ASR kushi
kushi: ok ok... so this is what happened

arnav spoke to kushi and cut the call... and she was wondering what could be wrong when pinky came and they had left with aarav and neetu as well...
just as kushi and pinky came out of the shop neetu suggested they go to the park near the bazaar...
they were playing and aarav and neetu ahd got a new cricket bat and ball and were playing as kushi and neetu settled in the lawn chatting
suddenly aarav's ball flew straight in the air and hit an old man on his head... and he fainted on the spot
the public had crowded and to immediately help the scene
kushi: papa... papa your okay na... aarav see what you have done to grandpa
aarav was confused and kushi winked at a confused neetu who understood
neetu immediately stopped a taxi and they rushed to the nearby hospital...
the doctors rushed to aid and sfter dressing his small wound shifted him to the ward and informed kushi that he was fine and they can leave after sometime
kushi asked neetu to take pinky and aarav and go home and she would joing them after dropping him in his place
neetu left asking kushi to be safe
kushi sat by the old man wishing him to open his eyes soon
kushi to herself: stupid aarav... sachin or what he is.. to hit the ball so high.. if only i had not called this man as apapa the public would have made chutney and i would have been in the police station...
just then she saw the bag the old man had with him... she tried to keep it straight and just then all the ingredients he shopped was out she bent down and picked up the loaf of bread and the bag of apples...
she got reminded of arnav... he loved sandwiches with her apple juice...
just as she thought the old man opened her eyes
kushi: chacha i am so sorry... the kid hit you by mistake and since you were little weak you fainted
old man: its ok beta... thank you so much for bringing me here and giving me treatment
kushi: its my pleasure chacha... where can i drop you...
old man: its okay i can go myself...
kushi: no no.. this will help em erase the gult plzzz
the old man smiled : RAIZADA GARDENS its 2 hrs from here.. i came to get these for chotey malik
kushi was shocked: ji.. raizadasss
old man: you knoe them

the old man kept a sad face: hmm but for me he is JUST CHOTEY MALIK
kushi was shocked arnavjii had bluffed to her.. how could he... what was so wrong that he had hidden this from her
kushi probed the old man: but chacha why would he be here at this time
old man: oh its his parents anniversary beta... and he is always alone.. this time he wanted sandwiches... so i had to come this far as the shops in my place are closed due to strike
kushi was further shocked: so this is why his voice was dulll... she remembered that years back when they were not married they had fought in this day
how stupid can she be to hace forgotten it.. but why does he want to be aloneee... she wanted to go to him.. somehow reach him.. but he din tell her... she cant ask him either...
she had an idea...
kushi: chacha you stay here i will call the doc and we can leave once he gives you an injection
chacha nodded
kushi ran to find the doc in his cabin and started crying
the doctor was shocked
doc: ji who are you?? why are you crying
kush still crying: took a deep breath: ji doc.. i am kushi.. my papa and cried again
the doc began to sweat: its ok kushi... i just saw him he is fine
kushi: he wont be fineee
doc was shocked: what!! but he is
kushi: doctor i am from a very poor family... my house is very far away and its already night... if he travels so long he will get tired
the doc tried to pacify kushi: no beta.. he will be fine..
kushi was worried : whats wrong with this doc
she cried harder
doc: ok ok what can i do
kushi: plz let him be here for tonight.. we will leave tomo plzzz
doc nodded: ok ok thats not an issue.. lets go tell him come
again kushi cried
doc: now what
kushi: since we are poor my dad wont want to waste money.. so you must not tell him i asked you to..you should tell it as a compulsion... plzzz
doc smiled at kushi's concern and care
doc: your father is very lucky kushi.. i will handle it and walked ahead
kushi tired of her acting finally wiped her tears and followed
doc: ji.. you cant leave now... you need to stay
chacha protested but the doc was firm and left
kushi: chacha: its okay
chacha: no kushiii... chotey .. he has to eat and this day he wont even come outside anywhere
kushi: chacha its just i need to cook and leave it on the table.. i can d it
chacha: but i dunno if arnavji will
kushi: you rest i will call him and dial the number
she told chacha arnavji agreed and got the keys from him and left
chacha: kushi beta.. i already served him dinner and he went to bed... don disturb him.. just cook and leave... you can leave the key outside i will take it on monday.. anyway no one is allowed there
kushi nodded and left

arnavs face had changed a million expressions by the time she was done
from what the to oh my god and finaly he blurted out UNBELIEVABLE...
arnav: so kushi it was you who made the sandwiches and the juice on table today morning...
kushi: yesss thats meee..
arnav: but the door was locked from out today morning and i thought chacha had lft
kushi: oh i left through the front and entered through the back door
arnav: and and you never called me
kushi: oh i bluffed just like you
arnav: but the water in my room...
... i thought chacha had left it there
kushi: woh actually

KUSHI walked in and she had called payal and forced her the truth after which she came to know that it was arnav's habit every year... but none knew what he did here..
kushi din want to disturb his private time but she still couldnt have the heart to be from coming here... she peeped in to see arnav sleeping and slowly walked in and placed a bottle of water ...
she came out and sat by the storeroom wondering why arnav wanted to be away... suddenly she heard him scream.. she panicked she wanted to go to him but she stopped... she knew he needed the time...
she wiped the tears forcing herself to stay in place...
she had peeped and found
him walking to his phone and talk to himself.. she just heard HER NAME he had spoken
she rushed to the storeroom and closed the door breaking down
he has been hiding so that he does not hurt her happiness...
she regretted that minute for having not known him properly and and she even felt bad for leaving him... she had always loved him and does even now but today she realized he loved her more...
she sat crying...
early next morning she and made the sandwiches and juice and placed them in the table before he was up and went back to the storeroom to hide herself...
she saw him eat with a smile and she very well knew the reason...and smiled too
then she saw him get up and walk... she heard him cry saying maaa and sit down with his head buried but she din see his hand cut...
she could not bear to see him in so much pain and rushed back to the store room not wnating to see more...
how she wished he had told her...she slowly walked to the corner of the storeroom resting her head on the glas window letting her tears fall.

arnav hugged her back and they were lost in each others arms without realizing the world around them
