The ones that come to my mind are all those stupid comedies where husbands flirt, cheat yet get accepted by their wife. Wife= Dal, Girlfriend= Biryani. W*F.

Then at least two films where hero has two wives, situational comedy then all three live happily ever after. Saajan chale sasural, gharwali baharwali.

I recollect masti, No Entry, Biwi No. 1 and Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya for now. Very offensive to women. Then some really old movies from the 50s to the 80s were very bad.

I watched this 80s Hindi film. Some South remake where the old guy tells hero that it's ok to slap your wife once a while to keep her under control. :|

dont remember any movie in particular...but often it is shown that a shy, sober girl who wears punjabi suits gets a transformation n she wears jeans n shorts n suddenly she is in demand 🤢

or a girl who wears jeans, drapes saree n is approved by hero n his parents 😡

n worst is, girl is asked to marry her rapist..

but i did not want sridevi to return to her husband at the end of EV.

There was one movie I watched called Benaam Badshah where the heroine is a social activist so a vamp sends the hero to rape her on the eve of her wedding. He rapes her and to remove the stigma she forces him to marry her and she stays with him to reform him. All this time her fiancee was ready to marry her despite knowing she is raped.

Then there are old masala movies like Mard, Himmatwala which are supposed to show strong heroines who are 'tamed' by the hero to reform themselves.
