Is it curtains for Punar Vivah?

Honestly, even we are trying to find answer for the same. One instance we came across the news of show going off air, to be immediately rubbished by the other. But then one can't deny the fact – there is no smoke without fire.
And then if indeed the show is about to end – why so soon? Forget about nose diving TRP's or logical end of a story – we have a new entrant on the block. New entrant ??? Yup, we are slowly progressing towards an era where conclusion precedes commutation.
Am I not making sense to you? Don't remember how Barun Sobti's exit from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon drew curtains for the show last year? Well Well Well … History repeats itself. And we are in for a repeat telecast if the latest buzz is to be believed. We hear that Gurmeet Choudhary aka Yash in Punar Vivah has thrown in towel resulting in pack up of the show.
News round the telly-town is that there were some creative differences between Gurmeet and the makers of the show. Gurmeet's decision to participate in Nach Baliye Shriman vs Shrimati aggravated the producers and further deepened the rift between the two. Before they could phase out his role, Gurmeet decided to call quits.
While the actor and the producers deny this, we have even heard that Zee TV plans to cash in the brand image created by Punar Vivah by introducing new storyline under same umbrella. And of course; new storyline = new faces. But will the axiom new story = new faces = sustained fan following hold true?
Lead actors quitting shows on high for greener pastures is nothing out of the blue but then their exit leading to show's exile is sadly emerging as a trend forcing audiences to settle for half-baked cakes. We hope this doesn't happen with Punar Vivah. The show has been doing great so far and just hope the air around the rumor is cleared off pretty soon.
