Can PeeCee look like Mary Kom?

It is possible, coz the Barfi! babe's pretty face may be modified digitally by using VFX to make her look like the boxing champion for her new film.

Priyanka Chopra will be seen delivering some really hard punches in her next film, one that is based on the five time World Boxing champion Mary Kom. PeeCee has already started training diligently for the movie, we are told, since the role will add more clout to her acting repertoire. The 31-year-old actor has just wrapped up shooting for the Hrithik Roshan superhero flick Krrish 3 and now she is excited to play the character of the lady who did India proud by winning the gold medal in boxing at the 2012 London Olympics.

For this challenging role director Omung Kumar wants Piggy Chops to sport a rather more oriental look, uptilted eyes and all. In fact, the makers first decided to use prosthetics to make Priyanka look like a gal from the Northeast in India. And that led to some questions about whether these add-ons would hold up during the intense and very sweaty boxing bouts. Which is why the idea of using special effects produced by Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies VFX came in. Now, even if that does happen, producer Balki has clarified that Priyanka will be using very light makeup and none of it will come off.

But the SFX will be useful, he agrees, in certain parts of the story - the boxing sequences, showing PC's head flying back, a tooth or two flying out of her pretty mouth...you get the picture! Now who wants to see our Babli getting seriously injured even though she may be badmaash?
