Maan and ASR both hurt the women they loved, and both insulted them, but never to the extreme level of RK. I'm not saying it was justified, just that their behaviour was nowhere near as bad as RK's.

Both Maan and ASR had redeeming qualities. Both after declaring their love and fully accepting their partners, changed their ways.

The biggest difference for me is the back-story.
People keep saying RK had a troubled past, he was hurt and therefore has trust issues and treats people like crap. But really most of it is rubbish, the only person who truly hurt him was Deepali and that's it.
ASR however had reasons to have trust issues due to his parents and Shyam etc. I mean when did we see Madhu and Sultan hug? Shyam and Khushi didn't but it looked that way so it was understandable that he was suspicious. Not correct however.
I would understand RK having trust issues, but not him treating people like crap, ASR didn't use his past as an excuse to hurt others.

Most importantly for me is that even though both Maan/ASR were angry young men who lost their temper, they still cared about other people's feelings. They loved their families and would do anything for them. They never intentionally tried to hurt everyone that they loved. If they hurt anyone they would realise it instantly and they regretted their actions and apologized.. In time. They had feelings and emotions, But mainly they just didn't treat their wives the way RK has treated Madhu.

RK most of the time seems to have no feelings whatsoever, apart for himself. He does wrong and believes he is entitled to do that wrong. He believes he is allowed to hurt Madhu however much he can, and yet Madhu HAS to love him. He doesn't ever realise just the extent of pain he has caused Madhu or anyone else for that matter. We don't see him regret his actions, forget apologizing. He believes he can do whatever he likes because he is a superstar. He believes he is entitled to have Madhu and goes to the extent of handcuffing her to him and his bed!

Now I know we're not allowed to compare but I just had to say this, the reason being that people should realise that not all men that do wrong are as inhuman as RK. People also seem to justify RK's actions by saying if fans could love ASR/Maan then why not RK? But there's a lot of difference between these characters.

Also just because Drashti was a part of Geet and people loved it, I feel like some RK fans are simply trying to attack Maan and make it seem like he is as bad as RK, but he wasn't not in my opinion anyway.
The argument I always hear is that Maan twisted Geet's arm once, but they forget no-one said it was ok. But here whatever RK does goes, it's because of his dark past etc.👏👏👏
