The very special feature of Indian Politics is the gundas and Don going into political chairs.....

The very recent result of this is the current violence going on in maharashtra.... I wd nt have said this for Nashik riots or solapur riots as they are known places for violence.... But Pune with no history of major violence has to have curfew yesterday in Pimpri area.... I belong to this area and hence know how peace loving the area was but since the elections are around the corners... the newly coming gunda politicians must be behind this..... So how can we stop such gundas from even stepping into politics.... because even though they are elected or not, they will use communal topics to create violence.....which is actually a very sad state.... My parents would have been injured yesterday, had they stopped to buy the furniture.... but as they saw atmosphere heating up, they left the place without shopping and later the violence took toll....

This not only disrupts law and order but also damages a lot of property, private and public.....

Kindly give ur views what an aam janta can do for this and how can they find out who is behind the riots???

Following Shibu Soren conviction in a murder case, A study report stated that almost 25% members of parliament are having criminal records against them. Both UPA and NDA are going neck to neck.
The main reason of Muscle power and Money power in Indian politics is mainly because there is no political will to make any law in this regard and loopholes in our judiciary system. The argument given by the political parties, that all the members are elected in a democratic system and unless a member has been convicted by a court, he or she has the same rights as a common citizen. Fair enough, now question is who give such members tickets to contest election? The rationale answer for this question would be that the political parties give ticket to a person whose probability of winning the election is the most; hence they have to give tickets to such person.
Now look at out democratic voting system, who are the voters? Do they participate in any other way in national program apart from casting votes? Do they know about their own constitutional rights? For 60-70% of the total voters, arranging a day meal is more important without thinking what would happen tomorrow. Are they educated enough to analyse what is going on? Absolutely no, luckily this applies to most of the candidates. So it's very easy to mislead them and induced fear psychosis. And of course easier to influence them with small sum of money.

Unless we ourselves become a part of whole system, things are not going to change in a positive way. Corruption is deeply rooted. Unless the new generation get enough education and exposure, muscle and money going to dominate them and squeeze them further.

Good topic Kabhi. I am glad to hear about your parent's timing to buy furniture.

I think the basic thing we need is implementation of law. In India it is very easy to break law and no one to stop you or charge you or punish you. There should be law and requirement to be in politics. Like Masters in Politics or some kind of basic education limitation and other requirement. And then ofcourse if we implement law correctly voting system would be helpful. Also, salary for police force should be higher so they do not look for other source of income. I think there are too many factors to it and like you said it is really frustrating to see such gundas using comunal topic for creating riot and destruction of property and life.

Primary the Gunda politicians survive b'cos the legal system is helpless in front of them. What needs to be done is the Legal branch should be empowered, that will automatically reduce the Gunda politicians

First thing, the Police chain of command should change, currently I think they report up to the collector who is just a figure-head. The collector should be given a full authority.

The Administrative branch should stand parallel to the political chain of command. And they should report up to the President. The President should have full authority over the administrative services of the country.

This way the influence of politicians on legal system gets reduced.

Then the police should be paid according to the rest of the industries.

If a Govt official is caught on corruption charges, they should be terminated and the all assets of the person/family acquired by the Govt.

The fourth estate should be given more freedom

All of the above would work as a check and balance to reduce the gunda-raj currently existing

When a gunda poltician stands from your constituency, you don't vote the person you want, you vote the person they want.

One way can be to develop your own strength, if citizens are united then there is very li'l they can do. And if even that doesn't help, well, Rs 200 ka katta ata hai, Rs 500 ka country, Rs 3000 ka automatic, Rs 10000 ka Mauser, Rs 50000 ka AK-47, Rs 5 ka revolver aur pistol ka kartoos aur Rs 10 ka rifle cartridge, ja ke kharid lo.😆

No for self defence. If they threaten you with a gun, tell them you've got one too, so they can stuff it.😆 You can even buy a hand grenade for good measure, if they stalks you or something, throw one at them.😆 And if you're thinking I was joking, then I was not. A ruling party rules this way, and when it's changed, it's changed the same way.😊

Yes, it's that easy to get a gun, only thing you should know the proper connections through which to get it. And the prices I gave are authentic. The best and the original are available in many bordering villages of Nepal and Bangladesh.😃 How do you think the guys in UP, Bihar, Assam, Arunachal, Nagaland or West Bengal get their arms?? None of them carries a license, yet they all carry arms. Do you know how cartridges are available at such a low price?? Apart from the ones smuggled, they are also sold off by the police or the armed forces, which are then shown on record as stolen. Even the police buy these smuggled cartridges. It's easier that way. You see, the police and the para-military (not the military) has a limit on the no. of rounds they can fire in a situation, more than that and they will be show caused. But if they fire smuggled cartridges which were not issued, they won't have to file report for them, cool ha.😆 That's one of the reason why police and public opinion always vary on the no. of rounds fired by the police. Every political leader, especially in rural areas and highly contested constitutions, always maintain a huge cache of arms. The party workers openly display them it's like a show of power and it's a open secret.😛 Most people think India is a costly place when it comes to foreign goods, but if you know where to get it, you can have everything very cheap.😆 Govt. does not always work on ethics. If one party decides to follow ethics and not use arms, their party workers will be wiped out in no time, no trace of the body will be found to file a report. In West Bengal, a fight like this came out in the open in Keshpur a traditionally CPM stronghold. The CPM party workers with all their arms and knowledge of CPM tactics crossed over to TMC, and TMC came to power. Ministers were supplying arms to that area in their cavalcade. It came out in the open there, but it happens everywhere.😉 One of my friends dad is an MLA from a border (Bangladesh) town and at any given time they stash a few automatics and grenades in their home. If you ask him for anything, from bikes to bombs or guns, he can get it for you real cheap.😆
