I am posting the english translation of the marathi interview of Ketan Karande aka Chotu. Original Interview post credit : Supreet

Having a craze for body building . Marathi youth Ketan Karande has a passion for acting too.That's how he began acting in movies.He has played several small roles but to reach the vast audience decided to foray into small screen.Following the footsteps of his idol "Rustom-i-Hind" Dara Singh & Bob Christo he wants to keenly pursue both his passions :Acting & Body Building.

Ketan plays the character of "Chotu" in the recently launched show on Star Plus, "Arjun".Speaking to Vrutant, Ketan says,"This is a big break for me.I have played minor roles in fight sequences in movies like,"Asoka", "Mujhse Shadi Karogi", "God Tussi Great Ho", "tere Mere Phere" but now I have an opportunity for a wider audience reach through Arjun.

I had a passion for bodybuilding from early life so have always taken part in competitions.Still the sport does not get the deserved attention like Cricket.That's why I tried my luck in movies".Bodybuilding does not have much scope for a career. His different look was a plus point in getting him movie roles.The "smartness" on his face & the ability to bring on different expressions went a big way in clinching the role of Chotu in the TV series for him.

Speaking of his role in the show,Ketan says,"Arjun is a crime show.Anytime a crime like murder happens this show portrays the crime scene investigation that is done by a team.Even though Arjun is the lead this is actually a five member team.In that Chotu is considered the closest to Arjun. Murder mystery & its related aspects are the main focus but the emotional side of the character too will be essayed. So along with a body builder physique my acting ability too was instrumental in me getting to play this role.This is very important to me.That is the reason I took up Arjun" finishes Ketan.

Ketan will be seen in Race 2 soon.He has also played roles in 8 southern movies.He is also into modelling. having featured in big ads like Nestle, Mentos, Tetrapak & Dish TV.
